Description
図1は、本実施の形態に係る燃料キャップの縦断面図である。図1の燃料キャップ100は、ハウジング10を備える。ハウジング10は、内ハウジング1および外ハウジング2を含む。内ハウジング1は、円筒状の上側面部11、円筒状の下側面部12、円環状の段差部13および円板状の底面部14を含む。上側面部11の内径は下側面部12の内径よりも大きい。段差部13は、上側面部11の下端部と下側面部12の上端部とを連結する。底面部14は、下側面部12の下端部を閉塞するように設けられる。
上記実施の形態に係る燃料キャップ100について、過酷な環境下における促進試験を行った。また、比較例として、下多孔質部材32および上多孔質部材33が設けられない点を除いて上記実施の形態と同様の構成を有する燃料キャップについても、同様の促進試験を行った。
上記実施の形態では、上多孔質部材33によって吸着材ADが上通気層34に付着することが抑制されるが、本発明はこれに限らない。吸着材ADには下方への重力が働くので、吸着材ADの下方に位置する下通気層31に比べて吸着材ADの上方に位置する上通気層34には吸着材ADが付着しにくい。そのため、下通気層31に比べて上通気層34の通気性は低下しにくい。そこで、燃料キャップ100における通気性が確保される場合には、上多孔質部材33が設けられなくてもよい。
以下、請求項の各構成要素と実施の形態の各要素との対応の例について説明するが、本発明は下記の例に限定されない。
Claims (10)
- 燃料タンクに取り付けられる燃料キャップであって、
前記燃料タンク内で生じた蒸気が下方から上方へ流れる内部空間を有するハウジングと、
前記内部空間に収容される粒子状の吸着材と、
前記内部空間内で前記吸着材の下方に配置される第1の多孔質層と、
前記内部空間内で前記吸着材の上方に配置される第2の多孔質層と、
前記吸着材と前記第1の多孔質層との間に配置される板状の第1の多孔質部材とを備え、
前記第1の多孔質部材の密度は、前記第1の多孔質層の密度および前記第2の多孔質層の密度よりも小さい、燃料キャップ。 - 前記第1の多孔質部材は、前記第1の多孔質層よりも高い弾性限界を有する、請求項1記載の燃料キャップ。
- 前記第1の多孔質部材は第1のスポンジからなる、請求項1または2記載の燃料キャップ。
- 前記吸着材と前記第2の多孔質層との間に配置される板状の第2の多孔質部材をさらに備え、
前記第2の多孔質部材の密度は、前記第1の多孔質層の密度および前記第2の多孔質層の密度よりも小さい、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の燃料キャップ。 - 前記第2の多孔質部材は、前記第2の多孔質層よりも高い弾性限界を有する、請求項4記載の燃料キャップ。
- 前記第2の多孔質部材は第2のスポンジからなる、請求項5記載の燃料キャップ。
- 前記第2の多孔質部材の上面の外縁部に沿うように配置される押さえ部材をさらに備え、
前記ハウジングは、互いに接合されることにより前記内部空間を形成する第1および第2のハウジング部材を含み、
前記第1のハウジング部材内に前記吸着材が収容され、前記第2のハウジング部材が前記第1のハウジング部材に接合されることにより前記押さえ部材が第2の多孔質部材を下方に押圧する、請求項5または6記載の燃料キャップ。 - 前記押さえ部材の下面を支持する支持部が前記ハウジングの内面から突出するように設けられる、請求項7記載の燃料キャップ。
- 前記第1および第2の多孔質部材の外周面に上下方向に延びるスリットがそれぞれ形成され、
前記支持部は、前記スリットに嵌合するように上下方向に延びる、請求項8記載の燃料キャップ。 - 前記第1の多孔質層および前記第2の多孔質層は不織布からなる、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の燃料キャップ。
