分かるであろう。また、この開示する水性分散液を製造する方法および処理された繊維を製造する方法も提供する。更に、様々な面の処理された繊維を用いて製造したヤーンおよび繊維製品、例えば布およびカーペットなども提供する。
記繊維の上に運ぶ目的で用いた溶媒を乾燥で除去する工程を指し、これを場合により加熱段階を用いて行ってもよい)。同じ工程をヤーンおよび繊維製品にも適用することができる。
当業者にほとんど良く知られているであろうが、以下の定義を明瞭にする目的で示す。
ナノ粒子:1つの寸法の長さが100nm未満である多次元粒子。
OWF(繊維の重量を基準):溶媒を乾燥で除去した後に付着している固体の量。
WPU(ウエットピックアップ(Wet Pick−up)):溶媒を乾燥で除去する前の繊維に付着している溶液の重量。
少なくとも1種の粘土ナノ粒子成分およびフルオロケミカルを含有して成る撥汚性用水性分散液を開示する。前記粘土ナノ粒子成分は、下記の地質学的分類の鉱物を実質的に含有して成る粒子を指し得る:スメクタイト、カオリン、イライト、クロライトおよびアタパルジャイト。そのような分類には、モントモリロナイト、ベントナイト、パイロフィライト、ヘクトライト、サポナイト、ソーコナイト、ノントロナイト、タルク、バイデライト、ボルコンスコアイト、バーミキュライト、カオリナイト、ディッカイト、アンチゴライト、アナウキサイト、インデライト、クリソタイル、ブラバイサイト、白雲母、パラゴナイト、バイオタイト、コレンス石、苦土緑泥石、ドンバサイト、須藤石、ペンニン、セピオライトおよびパリゴルスカイトなどの如き具体的粘土が含まれる。そのような粘土ナノ粒子は合成もしくは天然のいずれであってもよく、それには合成ヘクトライトおよびRockwood Additives LtdのLaponite(商標)が含まれる。そのLaponite(商標)粘土ナノ粒子はLaponite RD(商標)、Laponite RDS(商標)、Laponite JS(商標)およびLaponite
S482(商標)であってもよい。
、約0.01%から約5%、約0.05%から約5%、約0.5%から約5%および約5%から約15%が含まれる。Laponite(商標)を粘土ナノ粒子として用いる場合、溶液中の濃度を約0.05から約25重量%にするが、それには、約0.05%から1%(重量/重量)および約5%から約15%(重量/重量)が含まれる。次に、前記水性粘土ナノ粒子溶液をフルオロケミカルと接触させることで撥汚性用水性分散液を生じさせる。その一緒にした分散液に存在する元素状フッ素の量(%)をこの分散液中にフッ素原子が約0.0001から約5重量%存在するような量にしてもよく、それには、約0.001%から約2%、約0.001%から約0.8%、約0.005%から約0.5%、約0.005%から約0.15%、約0.01%から約1%、約0.025%から約0.5%および約0.05%から約0.5%が含まれる。Capstone RCP(商標)をフルオロケミカルとして用いる場合、その濃度を当該繊維に加わるウエットピックアップパーセントに応じて約0.005%から約0.5%にするが、それには約0.005%から約0.15%が含まれる。水性分散液を生じさせようとする時、当該粘土ナノ粒子成分の重量パーセントの方がフッ素の重量パーセントよりも高いままであるようにすべきである。粘土ナノ粒子とフッ素の典型的な重量パーセント比を約5000:1から約2:1にするが、それには、約3000:1、約1500:1、約1000:1、約500:1、約100:1、約50:1、約25:1および約10:1が含まれる。
OWF、約1000ppmから約1500ppm OWF、約1000ppmから約2000ppm OWFおよび約1500ppmから約2000ppm OWFが含まれる。また、当該フルオロケミカルも結果として当該繊維、ヤーンまたは繊維製品の表面に存在する元素状フッ素含有量が約25ppmから約1000ppm OWFであるような量で存在させてもよく、それには、約25ppmから約500ppm OWF、約75ppmから約150ppm OWF、約75ppmから約200ppm OWF、約100ppmから約200ppm OWFおよび約140ppmから約150ppm OWFが含まれる。前記水性分散液を加える時、当該粘土ナノ粒子成分のOWFの方がフッ素のOW
Fよりも高いままであるようにすべきである。ナノ粒子とフッ素の典型的なOWF比を約80:1から約1.5:1の範囲にしてもよく、それには、約27:1、約20:1、約13:1、約10:1、約7.5:1および約5:1が含まれる。そのような表面濃度の繊維、ヤーンおよび繊維製品をASTM D6540で測定した時にそれらが示すデルタEは約15から約23である。
ドラム汚れ(Drum soiling)をデルタEとして記録し、それの測定をASTM D6540およびD1776に従って実施する。
子の量が約1000-2000ppm OWFになりかつ元素状フッ素の量が約75ppm−200ppm OWFになった。
Claims (12)
- 少なくとも1種の粘土ナノ粒子成分およびフルオロケミカルを含有する表面処理剤を含有して成り、
前記フルオロケミカルがフルオロケミカルウレタンを含み、前記フルオロケミカルがフッ素化された側鎖当たりに有するフッ素化炭素の数は6以下であり、
前記少なくとも1種の粘土ナノ粒子成分がモントモリロナイト、ヘクトライト、サポナイト、ノントロナイト、バイデライト、およびこれらの組み合わせから成る群より選択され、
前記少なくとも1種の粘土ナノ粒子成分が合成ヘクトライトであり、これが繊維表面に1500ppmから2000ppm OWFの量で存在しかつ前記フルオロケミカルがフッ素化された側鎖当たりに有するフッ素化炭素の数は6以下でありかつ前記フルオロケミカルが繊維表面に75ppmから200ppm OWFの量で存在する

- 前記繊維がポリアミドである請求項5に記載の繊維製品。
- 請求項1−4のいずれか1項に記載の繊維を含有して成るカーペット。
- 前記繊維がポリアミドである請求項7に記載のカーペット。
- 更にASTM D6540を用いて測定したデルタEが15から23である請求項7に記載のカーペット。
- 少なくとも1種の粘土ナノ粒子成分、
フルオロケミカル、および
シリコーン、光学的光沢剤、抗菌成分、抗酸化安定剤、着色剤、光安定剤、紫外線吸収剤、塩基染料および酸染料から成る群より選択される成分、
を含有して成り、
前記少なくとも1種の粘土ナノ粒子成分がモントモリロナイト、ヘクトライト、サポナイト、ノントロナイト、バイデライト、およびこれらの組み合わせから成る群より選択され、
前記フルオロケミカルがフルオロケミカルウレタンを含み、
前記少なくとも1種の粘土ナノ粒子成分が合成ヘクトライトであり、これが繊維表面に1500ppmから2000ppm OWFの量で存在しかつ前記フルオロケミカルがフッ素化された側鎖当たりに有するフッ素化炭素の数は6以下でありかつ前記フルオロケミカルが繊維表面に75ppmから200ppm OWFの量で存在する
