Description
図1は、本開示の実施形態に基づく、プリンタ用の実例となる多層画像化ブランケット100の模式的断面図を示す。多層ブランケット構成の可能性のある利点は、トップコート及び下層のシリコーンの特性を細かく調整し、前記ブラケットの改善された全体性能のために、層間の機能を分割する能力である。
多層画像化ブランケット100は、前記ブランケットの他の層のための支持を提供する基材110を含んでもよい。前記基材は、当該分野において周知のように、シームレスベルトであり得る。シームレスベルトは、例えば、前記ブランケットの改善された動作品質等の利点を提供し得る。基材110は、任意の適切な材料から形成され得る。例としては、ポリマー、例えば、ポリイミド、シリコーン又は二軸配向ポリエチレンテレフタレート(例えば、MYLAR)、織布又はそれらの組み合わせがあげられる。実施形態において、前記シームレスベルトは、独立したポリイミドフィルムである。
適合層120は、基材110上に配置されてもよい。適合層120は、シリコーンゴム及び金属酸化物充填材152を含む。前記シリコーンは、媒体へのインク画像の改善された転写のために、前記ブランケットの印刷表面に、十分な適合能を付加し得る。前記金属酸化物の量は、前記ブランケットの適合性を調整するのに調節され得る。
任意の接着層130は、適合層120上に配置されてもよい。接着層130は、任意の適切な厚みを有してもよい。例えば、厚み132は、約0.05μmから約10μm、約0.25μmから約5μm又は約0.5μmから約2μmの範囲である。接着層130は、シラン、エポキシシラン、アミノシランの接着剤又はそれらの組み合わせから形成されてもよい。別の実施形態では、接着層130は、複合材料から形成されてもよい。より具体的には、接着層130は、ポリマーマトリクスから形成されるか、又は、同ポリマーマトリクスを含んでもよい。前記ポリマーマトリクスは、シリコーン、架橋性シラン又はそれらの組み合わせであるか、又は、それらを含んでもよい。
トップコート層(本願明細書において「表面層」とも呼ばれる)140は、任意の接着層130及び/又は適合層120上に配置されてもよい。トップコート層140は、フルオロエラストマー、例えば、フルオロエラストマー−アミノシラングラフト化ポリマー組成物又はフルオロシリコーンであり得る。
トップコート層140は、下記有益な特性:インク又は(水性インク転写定着プロセスの場合)スキンの適切なぬれ及び/又は拡散;比較的低出力でも前記インク又はスキンの適切な乾燥;並びに、前記インク画像及び/又はスキンの印刷媒体への良好な転写特性の1つ以上を提供し得る。

フルオロシリコーン層は、トップコート層140として使用され得る。フルオロシリコーントップコートは、種々の用途、例えば、Mandakini Kanungo et alによる米国特許出願公開第2014/0060359号明細書に記載されたオフセット印刷に使用され得る。
水性インクジェット転写定着プリンタ
図2は、本開示の実施形態に基づく、多層画像化ブランケット100を含むプリンタ200を示す。プリンタ200は、多層画像化ブランケット100の表面上にインク画像を形成する、インダイレクト水性インクジェットプリンタでもよい。水性インクジェットプリンタの例は、2013年9月20に出願された米国特許出願第14/032,945号、及び、2013年12月13に出願された米国特許出願第14/105,498号に、より詳細に記載されている。
図3は、本開示の多層画像化ブランケットが使用され得る、可変性リトグラフ用プリンタ410を図示する。プリンタ410は、画像転写部材を含む。前記画像転写部材は、回転ドラム412及び多層画像化ブランケット100を含むように図示される。実施形態において、多層画像化ブランケット100は、(図1に示した)シームレスベルト110;前記ベルト上に配置されたシリコーン層120及び前記シリコーン層上に配置されたフルオロエラストマー表面層140を含む。プリンタ410において、フルオロエラストマートップコート層140は、画像再形成可能な表面層である。実施形態において、表面層140は、フルオロシリコーンを含む。前記表面層は、前記画像化部材の最外層である。すなわち、前記画像化部材の前記層は、前記ベルト基材から最も遠い。
厚み20−100μmのシームレスポリイミド(PI)フィルムを、マンドレルに取り付ける。ブラシを使用して、Wacker G790プライマー(ビニル末端化アルコキシシラン)の薄い層を、前記PIフィルムの表面上に塗工する。前記PIフィルムの前処理及び過剰のプライマーの拭き取りを必要としない。前記プライマーを、室温及び湿度40−60%で、1−2時間塗工する。
厚み20−80μmのシームレスポリイミド(PI)フィルムを、マンドレルに取り付ける。ブラシを使用して、Wacker G790プライマー(ビニル末端化アルコキシシラン)の薄い層を、前記PIフィルムの表面上に塗工する。前記PIフィルムの前処理及び過剰のプライマーの拭き取りを必要としない。前記プライマーを、室温及び湿度約40から約60%で、約1から約2時間塗工する。

Claims (18)
- 独立したポリイミドフィルムであるシームレスベルト;
前記ベルト上に配置されたシリコーン層であって、前記シリコーン層が、シリコーンゴム及び金属酸化物充填材を含み、プラチナ硬化シロキサンを含むシリコーン層;及び、
前記シリコーン層上に配置されたフルオロエラストマー表面層を含み、
前記フルオロエラストマー表面層は、(i)フルオロエラストマー−アミノシラングラフト化ポリマー組成物、及び(ii)フルオロシリコーンからなる群から選択され、前記フルオロシリコーンは、ビニル末端化トリフルオロプロピルメチルシロキサンポリマーと、プラチナ触媒と、架橋剤とを混合することにより得られ、前記架橋剤は、Si−H結合を有する少なくとも1つの内部シロキサン繰り返し単位を有する置換または非置換のポリシロキサン鎖である、
多層画像化ブランケット。 - 前記シリコーンゴムが、前記シリコーン層の総重量に基づいて、80から95重量パーセントの範囲の量で、前記シリコーン層に存在する、請求項1記載のブランケット。
- 前記金属酸化物充填材が、前記シリコーン層の総重量に基づいて、5から20重量パーセントの範囲の量で、前記シリコーン層に存在する、請求項1記載のブランケット。
- 前記金属酸化物充填材が、酸化鉄粒子、シリカ粒子、及びそれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される材料を含む、請求項1記載のブランケット。
- 前記フルオロエラストマー表面層が、フルオロエラストマー−アミノシラングラフト化ポリマー及び赤外吸収性充填材料を含む、請求項1記載のブランケット。
- 前記フルオロエラストマー−アミノシラングラフト化ポリマーのフルオロエラストマー基は、ヘキサフルオロプロピレン(HFP)、テトラフルオロエチレン(TFE)、フッ化ビニリデン(VDF)、パーフルオロメチルビニルエーテル(PMVE)及びエチレン(ET)からなる群から排他的に選択された、2つ以上のモノマー単位を含む、請求項5記載のブランケット。
- 前記フルオロエラストマー−アミノシラングラフト化ポリマーのアミノシラン基は、オキシアミノシランである、請求項5記載のブランケット。
- 前記フルオロエラストマー−アミノシラングラフト化ポリマーのアミノシラン基は、アミノ置換されているトリアルコキシシランユニットである、請求項5記載のブランケット。
- 前記フルオロエラストマー表面層の前記赤外吸収性充填材料は、カーボンブラックを含み、前記カーボンブラックの量が、前記フルオロエラストマー表面層の総重量に基づいて、1から5重量パーセントの範囲の量である、請求項5記載のブランケット。
- 前記フルオロエラストマー−アミノシラングラフト化ポリマーのアミノシラン基は、[3−(2−アミノエチルアミノ)プロピル]トリメトキシシラン基、及び3−アミノプロピルトリメトキシシラン基からなる群から選択される、請求項5記載のブランケット。
- 前記フルオロエラストマー表面層は、フルオロシリコーンを含む、請求項1記載のブランケット。
- 多層画像化ブラケットを含む画像転写部材であって、
前記多層画像化ブラケットが、
シームレスベルト;
前記ベルト上に配置されたシリコーン層であって、前記シリコーン層が、シリコーンゴム及び金属酸化物充填材を含み、プラチナ硬化シロキサンを含むシリコーン層;及び、
前記シリコーン層上に配置されたフルオロエラストマー表面層であって、フルオロエラストマー−アミノシラングラフト化ポリマー組成物を含むフルオロエラストマー表面層;
を含む画像転写部材;
前記画像転写部材上に、犠牲コーティングを形成するためのコーティング機構;
前記犠牲コーティングを乾燥させるための乾燥ステーション;
前記画像転写部材の近位に配置され、前記画像転写部材上に形成された前記犠牲コーティング上に、インクを噴射するように構成された、少なくとも1つのインクジェットノズル;
前記画像転写部材上に形成された前記犠牲コーティング上の前記インクを少なくとも部分的に乾燥させるための照射源を含むインク処理ステーション;及び、
前記画像転写部材と接触している基材を移動させるための基材輸送機構を含む
インダイレクト印刷装置。 - 前記シリコーンゴムが、前記シリコーン層の総重量に基づいて、80から95重量パーセントの範囲の量で、前記シリコーン層に存在する、請求項12記載の印刷装置。
- 前記フルオロエラストマー表面層が、赤外吸収性充填材料をさらに含む、請求項12記載の印刷装置。
- 前記乾燥ステーションは、印刷プロセス中に前記犠牲コーティングの上に前記インクを噴射する前に前記犠牲コーティングを乾燥するために配置されている、請求項12記載の印刷装置。
- 前記照射源は、前記画像転写部材のそばに配置されており、前記インクは前記インクが直接照射されるように前記画像転写部材上に噴射される、請求項12記載の印刷装置。
- 多層画像化ブラケットを含む画像転写部材であって、
前記多層画像化ブラケットが、
独立したポリイミドフィルムであるシームレスベルト;
前記ベルト上に配置されたシリコーン層であって、前記シリコーン層が、シリコーンゴム及び金属酸化物充填材を含み、プラチナ硬化シロキサンを含むシリコーン層;及び、
前記シリコーン層上に配置されたフルオロエラストマー表面層を含み、
前記フルオロエラストマー表面層は、ビニル末端化トリフルオロプロピルメチルシロキサンポリマーと、プラチナ触媒と、架橋剤とを混合することにより得られ、前記架橋剤は、Si−H結合を有する少なくとも1つの内部シロキサン繰り返し単位を有する置換または非置換のポリシロキサン鎖である、フルオロシリコーンを含む、
画像転写部材;
前記画像転写部材上に、湿し流体層を塗布するためのコーティング機構;
前記湿し流体層の一部にエネルギーを選択的に印加して、前記湿し流体層を画像状に蒸発させ、受け入れ基材上に印刷されるのが望まれるインク画像の潜在ネガを形成するように構成された光学パターン形成サブシステム;
前記画像転写部材にインク組成物を塗工して、前記インク画像を形成するためのインカーサブシステム;
前記インク画像を部分的に硬化させるためのレオロジー制御サブシステム;及び、
前記インク画像と接触している前記受け入れ基材を移動させるための基材輸送機構を含む、
印刷装置。 - 前記フルオロエラストマー表面層が、シリカ及びカーボンブラックを含む、請求項17記載の印刷装置。
