Claims (4)
- 互いに電磁的に結合する第1巻線、第2巻線及び第3巻線を有する点火コイルと、
前記第1巻線の一端に接続される第1スイッチと、
前記第1巻線の他端に接続されるバッテリと、
一端が前記バッテリに接続され他端が前記第3巻線の一端に接続される昇圧部と、
前記第3巻線の他端に接続される第2スイッチと、
前記第1スイッチ及び前記第2スイッチをオンオフ駆動させる駆動装置とを備え、
前記駆動装置は、前記第1スイッチをオン状態からオフ状態に切り替えることで前記第2巻線に二次電流を流すとともに、前記第2スイッチをオフ状態からオン状態に切り替えることで前記第3巻線に前記昇圧部の出力を供給し、前記二次電流を同じ極性のままで継続させることを特徴とする点火装置。 - 前記昇圧部は、前記第2スイッチがオン状態である間、前記第3巻線に電気エネルギーを供給し続けることを特徴とする請求項1記載の点火装置。
- 前記昇圧部は、前記点火コイルの第2巻線に流れる二次電流を検出し、検出された二次電流を一定値に制御することを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の点火装置。
- 前記昇圧部は、前記第2スイッチがオフ状態からオン状態に切り替わってから所定時間後に電気エネルギーの供給を開始することを特徴とする請求項1記載の点火装置。
