Description
二次電池を電源として動作し、前記二次電池の負極に接続される電源経路に直列に挿入されるスイッチ回路を制御することによって前記二次電池の放電を許可又は禁止する保護ICと、
前記二次電池を電源として動作し、前記二次電池と前記スイッチ回路との間で前記電源経路に接続されるグランド端子を有し、前記二次電池の電圧を測定して外部に送信する監視ICとを備え、
前記保護ICは、前記スイッチ回路をオンさせる許可信号を出力することによって前記二次電池の放電を許可し、前記スイッチ回路をオフさせる禁止信号を出力することによって前記二次電池の放電を禁止し、
前記監視ICは、前記禁止信号が入力されている場合、前記監視ICの内部回路に供給される電力を制限するレギュレータを有し、
前記監視ICは、前記許可信号が入力されている場合の通常動作時よりも少ない電力を消費する省電力動作を、前記禁止信号が入力されている場合に設定するよう構成され、前記省電力動作において、前記レギュレータは前記通常動作時よりも出力電圧を低く設定される、ことを特徴とする、二次電池用複合集積回路が提供される。

Claims (5)
- 二次電池を電源として動作し、前記二次電池の負極に接続される電源経路に直列に挿入されるスイッチ回路を制御することによって前記二次電池の放電を許可又は禁止する保護ICと、
前記二次電池を電源として動作し、前記二次電池と前記スイッチ回路との間で前記電源経路に接続されるグランド端子を有し、前記二次電池の電圧を測定して外部に送信する監視ICとを備え、
前記保護ICは、前記スイッチ回路をオンさせる許可信号を出力することによって前記二次電池の放電を許可し、前記スイッチ回路をオフさせる禁止信号を出力することによって前記二次電池の放電を禁止し、
前記監視ICは、前記禁止信号が入力されている場合、前記監視ICの内部回路に供給される電力を制限するレギュレータを有し、
前記監視ICは、前記許可信号が入力されている場合の通常動作時よりも少ない電力を消費する省電力動作を、前記禁止信号が入力されている場合に設定するよう構成され、前記省電力動作において、前記レギュレータは前記通常動作時よりも出力電圧を低く設定される、ことを特徴とする、二次電池用複合集積回路。 - 前記保護ICは、前記二次電池の過放電が検出されている場合、前記二次電池の過放電が検出されていない場合よりも自身の消費電力を低減するとともに、前記禁止信号を出力する、請求項1に記載の二次電池用複合集積回路。
- 前記監視ICは、電源端子を有し、
前記レギュレータは、前記電源端子と前記グランド端子との間の電源電圧から前記出力電圧を生成する、請求項1又は2に記載の二次電池用複合集積回路。 - 請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の二次電池用複合集積回路と、前記スイッチ回路とを備える、二次電池用複合装置。
- 請求項4に記載の二次電池用複合装置と、前記二次電池とを備える、電池パック。
