Claims (13)
- 髄内釘とともに使用するためのエンドキャップであって、
工具係合部を有するヘッド部と、長手軸と先端部とを有するシャフトとを含み、一定のピッチを有するネジが、シャフトの少なくとも一部に設けられており、
前記シャフトのネジ付き部は、前記シャフトの前記先端部に隣接する第1の端部と、第1の円錐セクションと、第2の円錐セクションと、第2の端部とを備え、前記第1の円錐セクションは、第1の端部と第2の円錐セクションとの間に延在し、
前記第1の円錐セクションは、その錐面と前記長手軸との間の第1の角度を有する第1の円錐部を画定し、前記第2の円錐セクションは、その錐面と前記長手軸との間の第2の角度を有する第2の円錐部を画定し、前記第1の角度は前記第2の角度と異なり、
前記第1の円錐セクションの前記第1の角度は、前記第2の円錐セクションの前記第2の角度よりも小さい、エンドキャップ。 - 前記シャフトの前記ネジ付き部は、ネジのない第1の円周セクションとネジを有する第2の円周セクションとを有するサブ部を含む請求項1記載のエンドキャップ。

- 前記第1の角度が5°乃至10°であり、前記第2の角度が20°乃至25°である、請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載のエンドキャップ。
- 前記ネジは、前記ヘッド部に隣接する最大直径を有し、前記直径は、骨釘の雌ネジの公称直径に対応する、請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項に記載のエンドキャップ。
- 前記エンドキャップの前記シャフトは、前記エンドキャップの前記ネジ付き部と前記ヘッド部との間にネジのないセクションをさらに備え、前記ネジのないセクションは、前記ネジ付き部の最大直径よりも大きい直径を有している、請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載のエンドキャップ。
- 前記ヘッド部の直径は、前記ネジ付き部の最大直径と同様である、請求項1乃至7のいずれか一項に記載のエンドキャップ。
- 前記先端部が丸みのある縁部を有する、請求項1乃至8のいずれか一項に記載のエンドキャップ。
- 前記工具係合部が、内側工具係合部である、請求項1乃至9のいずれか一項に記載のエンドキャップ。
- 前記第1の円周セクションは、前記ネジの内径に対応する外径を有し、前記サブ部の円周の少なくとも3分の1に延在する、請求項2に記載のエンドキャップ。
- 請求項1に記載のエンドキャップと、
前記エンドキャップを受け入れるための雌ネジを有する骨釘と、を含むシステム。 - 前記システムはさらにロッキングスクリューを備え、
前記骨釘はさらに前記ロッキングスクリューを受け入れるための横ボアを有し、
前記エンドキャップは、前記ロッキングスクリューが前記骨釘の前記横ボアに挿入され、前記エンドキャップが前記骨釘の前記雌ネジに挿入されると、前記ロッキングスクリューと接触するように構成されている、請求項12に記載のシステム。
