Description
・ この方法には、蒸発濃縮による凝縮水及び蒸留残渣の生成、一酸化炭素及び/又は二酸化炭素による蒸留残渣処理、形成された結晶相の分離、液相から放射性核種を抽出するための触媒及び/又は収着剤の存在下における蒸留残渣液相のオゾン処理、形成された放射性スライムの分離、及び液相の追加蒸発濃縮工程への引き渡しが含まれる。
・ この方法には、事前の蒸発濃縮による凝縮水及び蒸留残渣の生成、形成される放射性スライムの分離及び高度の蒸発濃縮による濾液濃縮が含まれる。この際、蒸留残渣のオゾン処理は、溶液の事前蒸発濃縮の直後に行われる。放射性スライム分離後、濾液は、セシウム選択性無機収着剤の入った濾過・収容器に通され、こののち、使用済みとなった濾過・収容器は、保管もしくは埋設処置に回される。
・ 液体成分と固体成分の分離システムが極めて複雑で高価。機器は微妙な調整を必要とし、また、操作員を被爆から保護する装置がないので、遠隔操作を行わざるを得ない。
・ 再処理による高放射性廃棄物(濾過器からのスライム、使用済み収着剤又は使用済み収着剤入り容器、フィルター素子)が形成される。これらの廃棄物の取り扱いには、高価な特殊安全対策及び保護を要し、それゆえ、それらの廃棄物の輸送、再利用及び保管(埋設処理)に、多額の経費を要する。
・ 浄化される溶液から放射性核種の一部を除去し、濾過ブロック及び収着ブロックごとに放射能を均等に配分できる。
・ 浮遊物及びコロイドから、分離が容易な固相を形成でき、そのことによって液体放射性廃棄物の固体成分と液体成分との分離工程の簡素化及び低価格化を実現できる。

Claims (10)
- 廃棄物の酸化、液相からのスライム、コロイド及び懸濁粒子の分離ならびに選択収着剤及びフィルターの使用による液相からの放射能除去及びそれに続く再利用の工程を含む液体放射性廃棄物再処理及び再処理に用いた容器の再利用の方法であって、以下のステップ、すなわち
a)第1のフィルター容器、第2のフィルター容器、および収着剤容器を準備するステップであって、前記第1のフィルター容器および第2のフィルター容器はそれぞれコンクリートブロックからなり、前記収着剤容器は前記コンクリートブロックとは別のコンクリートブロックに収められているステップ、
b)液体放射性廃棄物と粉末状選択収着剤とを混合し、撹拌するステップ、
c)ステップb)の混合物を、出口に少なくとも一つのフィルター素子を備える前記第1のフィルター容器を通過させるステップ、
d)前記第1のフィルター容器を通った液体を酸化するステップ、
e)酸化された液体廃棄物を、出口に少なくとも一つのフィルター素子を備える前記第2のフィルター容器を通過させるステップ、
f)前記第2のフィルター容器を通った液体を、顆粒状選択収着剤の入った前記収着剤容器を通過させるステップ、
g)前記収着剤容器を収めたコンクリートブロック、前記第1フィルター容器、および、前記第2のフィルター容器に、使用終了後にセメントモルタルを注入するステップ、
h)セメントモルタルを注入された前記コンクリートブロックを建設材料として再利用するステップ、を含む方法。 - 液体放射性廃棄物再処理の過程で、一つ又は複数の選択収着剤を使用することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 溶液からスライム、コロイド及び懸濁粒子を除去するために使用されるフィルター容器が、二つ又はそれ以上のフィルター素子を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。

- 放射性核種の除染が行われる溶液を、前記顆粒状選択収着剤を含む、直列に連結された二つ以上の収着剤容器を通過させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記顆粒状選択収着剤を含んだ使用済み収着剤容器を収めたコンクリートブロックに、高浸透性セメントモルタルが注入されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 液相から除去された不溶物質を含んだ使用済みフィルター容器に、高浸透性セメントモルタルが注入されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- セメント固化に先立ち、容器に真空化処理及び/又は、熱風もしくは不活性ガスによる加熱処理が施されることを特徴とする請求項6又は請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記顆粒状選択収着剤の顆粒径が、1mmから3mmの範囲にあることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記粉末状選択収着剤の粒径が、0.1mmから0.7mmの範囲にあることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
