Description

Claims (7)
- DCプラズマトーチ(10)であって、
導電性カソード(12)および導電性アノード(14)を有し、
これらのカソードおよびアノードは、これらの間にギャップを形成すべく互いに間隔を隔てて配置され、前記カソードは円筒状の本体部分を有し、前記アノードは管状の部分を有し、前記カソードは、その少なくとも一部が、前記アノード内に該アノードから間隔を隔てて重なり合わせられており、前記管状の部分の内部の幾何学的形状は、内方にテーパした截頭円錐状の第1部分(18)を有し、該第1部分は、実質的に平行な側面を備えた第2のど部(20)に導かれており、
前記DCプラズマトーチは、少なくとも一部が前記ギャップ内に配置されかつ使用時にガスが前記ギャップを通って流れることを可能にするチャネルを備えた金属渦巻きブシュ(40、70)と、
前記カソードと前記金属渦巻きブシュ(40、70)との間および前記アノードと前記金属渦巻きブシュ(40、70)との間のいずれか一方または両方に介在された別体のセラミック要素とを更に有し、
前記内方にテーパした截頭円錐状の第1部分は、前記別体のセラミック要素を受入れるための平行な側面を備えた凹部(54)からなり、前記別体のセラミック要素は、平行な側面を備えた凹部の半径方向最外方表面の輪郭の形状および寸法と実質的に同じ形状および寸法を有する半径方向最外方表面(56)と、前記金属渦巻きブシュ(40、70)の外面と実質的に同じテーパ状内面(58)とを有することを特徴とするDCプラズマトーチ。 - 前記実質的に平行な側面を備えた第2のど部は、外方にテーパした截頭円錐状の第3部分に導かれていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のDCプラズマトーチ。
- 前記円筒状の本体部分は、ボタン電極を更に有することを特徴とする請求項2に記載のDCプラズマトーチ。
- 前記円筒状の本体部分は、ボタン電極の熱伝導率および仕事関数よりも高い熱伝導率および仕事関数を有する金属で形成されていることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のDCプラズマトーチ。
- 前記ボタン電極は、熱電子材料で形成されていることを特徴とする請求項3又は4に記載のDCプラズマトーチ。
- 前記円筒状の本体部分は銅からなり、ボタン電極はハフニウムからなることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のDCプラズマトーチ。
- 前記渦巻きブシュの少なくとも1つのチャネルは、トーチを通って流れるガスの運動量に回転成分を伝達することができることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のDCプラズマトーチ。
