Description
本発明は、マグネシウム電気化学電池の正極用の活性材料、およびこの活性材料に基づくカソードを備えるマグネシウム二次電池に関する。
これらの目的および他の目的は、本発明によって実現される。本発明の第1実施形態は、電気化学電池を含む。本発明の電気化学電池は、マグネシウムを含む負極と、マグネシウム塩を含む電解質と、マグネシウムイオンを層間浸入および放出することができるカーボンクラスタ化合物を含む正極とを備える。
本発明の発明者らは、マグネシウム二次電池用のカソード活性材料として機能することができる材料について、幅広い研究および評価を行っている。研究の目的は、容易に入手することができ、生産環境において安全かつ比較的容易に扱うことができ、且つ、高容量および高動作電位を有するマグネシウム電池を提供するカソード活性材料を発見することである。

Claims (12)
- マグネシウムを含む負極と、
マグネシウム塩を含む電解質と、
マグネシウムイオンを層間浸入および放出することができる活性材料を含む正極とを備え、
前記活性材料は、フラーレンと、非クラスタカーボン材料との乾燥共粉砕物であり、
前記非クラスタカーボン材料は、黒鉛、カーボンナノチューブ、及びカーボンブラックのうち少なくとも一つであり、
前記フラーレンの含量は、前記活性材料の50重量%以上である、電気化学電池。 - 前記フラーレンは、ケージ構造を有する、請求項1に記載の電気化学電池。
- 前記フラーレンの前記ケージ構造は、球状である、請求項2に記載の電気化学電池。

2枚のカーボン紙の間に圧入され、マグネシウムイオンを層間浸入および放出することができる活性材料を含む正極とを備え、
前記活性材料は、フラーレンの乾燥粉砕物を含む、電気化学電池。 - 前記活性材料は、粉砕された非クラスタカーボン材料をさらに含み、
前記非クラスタカーボン材料は、黒鉛、カーボンナノチューブ、及びカーボンブラックのうち少なくとも一つである、請求項6に記載の電気化学電池。 - 前記活性材料は、前記フラーレンと前記非クラスタカーボン材料との乾燥共粉砕物を含む、請求項7に記載の電気化学電池。
- 2枚のカーボン紙の間に挟まれ、マグネシウムイオンを層間浸入および放出することができる活性材料を含み、
前記活性材料は、フラーレンの乾燥粉砕物を含む、マグネシウム電気化学電池用のカソード。 - 前記活性材料は、非クラスタカーボン材料の粉砕物をさらに含み、
前記非クラスタカーボン材料は、黒鉛、カーボンナノチューブ、及びカーボンブラックのうち少なくとも一つである、請求項9に記載のマグネシウム電池用のカソード。 - 前記フラーレンは、C60およびC70のうち少なくとも1つを含む、請求項9又は10に記載のマグネシウム電池用のカソード。
- 前記活性材料は、バインダをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の電気化学電池。
