バルーン長手方向において、約0mm(0インチ)から約12mmまで、より限定的には約3mmから約9mmまでであってもよい。胴部直径は、約2mm(0.08インチ)から約35mmまで、例えば、約3mm、約6mm、約20mmまたは約23mmであってもよい。
図30Aおよび図30Bは、デバイスが圧力チャンバ219内で部分的にまたは完全に製造されてもよいことを示している。圧力チャンバ219は、圧力チャンバ容器218内にあってもよい。圧力チャンバ容器218は、容器底部220bから分離可能な容器頂部220aを有していてもよい。容器頂部220aは、容器頂部ポート222を有していてもよい。容器底部220bは、容器底部ポート224を有していてもよい。容器頂部ポート222は、圧力チャンバ219の頂部と流体連通していてもよい。容器底部ポート224は、圧力チャンバ219の底部と流体連通していてもよい。

ブラダー52の長さに沿って、および/または、ブラダー52の周囲の周りに一定の可変壁厚を有していてもよい。ブラダー52は、バルーン20の内壁を形成してもよく、漏れ止めされていてもよい。
第1のブラダー部分52aは、第2のブラダー部分52bと、重ね継ぎすなわち重複部(図示されている)のところで重なり、当接部のところで当接し、あるいは、継ぎ目66のところでフランジ接合されてもよい。継ぎ目は、継ぎ面面積780と、継ぎ目幅781とを有し得る。

200μm(0.008インチ)未満、より限定的には5μm(0.0002インチ)未満であってもよい。繊維86を接着剤208に固定する(すなわち、繊維86を接着剤208上の所定場所に連結する)ために、解放層236上に材料を溶融または溶媒和するために、繊維86上に材料を溶融または溶媒和するために、または、それらの組み合わせのために、熱源または溶剤が使用されてもよい。例えば、分離型抵抗加熱器、レーザー、高温空気源、または、RF溶接機が使用されてもよい。メチルエチルケトン、テトラヒドロフランなどの溶剤が使用されてもよい。繊維86は、1インチ(25.4mm)当たり3000から30までのピッチで巻かれてもよい。このピッチは、適用されている繊維86または牽引部270の総サイズに基づいて、または、ローラ232上の後続の繊維86または牽引部270の各々の間の隙間に基づいて選択されてもよい。単一のモノフィラメント274の用途(ワイヤであってもよい)では、ピッチは、1インチ(25.4mm)当たり約2000から約100巻きであってもよい。

繊維直径212が25μm、6つの繊維、距離602が約0.250mm、角度90が約35.00度の最上部モノフィラメント608についてのモノフィラメント長は、約13.47mmとなる。

である。歪みは、角度のサイン関数であり、繊維の数の線形関数であり、Rが大きくなるほど、小さなRよりも歪みが小さくなることに留意されたい。

円筒状部位と円錐状部位とを有するベースバルーンと、
前記円錐状部位のまわりに周方向に延在する少なくとも1つの周方向繊維と、
前記円錐状部位において、前記少なくとも1つの周方向繊維にわたる複数の強化ストリップと
を備え、
前記強化ストリップの各々は、隣接する前記強化ストリップから設定された周方向距離だけ離れて位置決めされ、
前記膨張可能なバルーンは、さらに、前記少なくとも1つの周方向繊維に対して所定の角度で延在する複数の長手方向繊維を備え、
前記少なくとも1つの周方向繊維は、前記複数の長手方向繊維にわたって延在し、
