Description
Claims (16)
- ハウジングのキャビティへ流れ込む蒸気によって運ばれる液体を分離するように構成された液体分離機構を有するハウジングと、
閉位置と開位置との間を選択的に移動可能に構成されたバルブと、を含み、
前記ハウジングは、第1の開口部を有し、前記液体分離機構は、前記第1の開口部を介して排液するものであり、
前記バルブは、該バルブが前記閉位置にあるとき、前記第1の開口部を閉じることで、該第1の開口部を介した前記液体分離機構の排液を防止し、前記バルブが前記開位置にあるとき、前記第1の開口部を介した前記液体分離機構の排液を許容するものであり、
前記バルブは、前記キャビティ内へ延びる円錐状の端部を備えるバルブ本体と、該バルブ本体を前記閉位置へと付勢するばねと、を含み、
更に、ベンチュリノズルを有し、該ベンチュリノズルを通る液体の流れが前記液体分離機構の排液を促すように、前記液体分離機構と選択的に流体連通状態になる噴射ポンプを含み、
前記ハウジングが第2の開口部を形成し、前記バルブは、該バルブが前記閉位置にあるとき、前記キャビティと前記第2の開口部との間の流体連通状態を防止し、前記バルブが前記開位置にあるとき、前記キャビティと前記第2の開口部との間の流体連通状態を確立するものであり、
前記噴射ポンプは、前記ベンチュリノズルが前記第2の開口部と隣接するように、前記ハウジングに取り付けられており、
更に、前記ベンチュリノズルの上流側に、圧力を低下させて、前記ベンチュリノズルへ流れる液体の速度を増大させるように構成された減圧機構を含むことを特徴とする装置。 - 前記バルブは、該バルブが前記閉位置にあるとき、前記第1の開口部を介して前記キャビティから蒸気が通ることを防止し、前記バルブが前記開位置にあるとき、前記第1の開口部を介して前記キャビティから蒸気が通ることを許容することを特徴とする請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記バルブ本体は環状であり、前記ばねは、環状の前記バルブ本体の内側に合致する直径を有していることを特徴とする請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記ばねは、バルブキャビティ内に配置され、前記ハウジングは、前記バルブキャビティに露出した第2の開口部を形成しており、
前記第1の開口部を介して前記液体分離機構から排液された液体は、前記第2の開口部を介して前記バルブキャビティから流出することを特徴とする請求項3記載の装置。 - 前記バルブ本体の前記円錐状の端部は、前記キャビティ内の圧力と前記バルブキャビティ内の圧力との圧力差に晒され、
前記バルブは、前記圧力差によってもたらされる前記円錐状の端部の領域における力が、前記ばねの力より強い場合に、前記開位置へと移動することを特徴とする請求項4記載の装置。 - 前記第1の開口部が、前記液体分離機構に隣接したハウジングの側壁に位置することを特徴とする請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記減圧機構は、前記ベンチュリノズルへ流れる液体のために、蛇行した流路を形成するように配置される、連続した複数のプラグを含んでおり、これによって、圧力を低下させ、液体の流速を増大させることを特徴とする請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記複数のプラグは、概して円柱状であり、前記蛇行した流路を形成する軸方開口部及び扇状開口部を有することを特徴とする請求項7記載の装置。
- 前記複数のプラグは、流体の流れが、1つのプラグの軸方開口部を通って軸方向へ、その後、前記1つのプラグの扇状開口部の1つを通り、そして、隣接する1つのプラグの軸方開口部を通って軸方向へ、更に、前記隣接する1つのプラグの扇状開口部の1つを通って続くように、前記噴射ポンプの流入部内に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項8記載の装置。
- 前記噴射ポンプは、前記ベンチュリノズルの下流側に、混合室及びディフューザを有することを特徴とする請求項1記載の装置。
- 燃料ポンプを有する燃料タンクと、
前記燃料ポンプから燃料送出管を介して燃料が供給されるエンジンと、
燃料蒸気回収装置と、
前記燃料タンクへ機能的に接続され、前記燃料タンクから前記燃料蒸気回収装置へ燃料蒸気を連通するように動作可能な蒸気排気弁と、
前記燃料タンクへ機能的に接続される液体分離装置と、を含み、
該液体分離装置は、
前記蒸気排気弁からハウジングのキャビティへ流れ込む前記燃料蒸気によって運ばれる液体を分離するように構成された液体分離機構を有すると共に、第1の開口部を有するハウジングと、
閉位置と開位置との間を選択的に移動可能に構成され、前記閉位置にあるとき、前記第1の開口部を閉じることで、該第1の開口部を介した前記液体分離機構の排液を防止し、前記開位置にあるとき、前記第1の開口部を介した前記液体分離機構の排液を許容するバルブと、を含み、
該バルブは、前記キャビティ内へ延びる円錐状の端部を備えるバルブ本体と、該バルブ本体を前記閉位置へと付勢するばねと、を含み、
更に、前記燃料送出管から燃料を受けるように機能的に接続された噴射ポンプを含み、該噴射ポンプは、ベンチュリノズルを有し、該ベンチュリノズルを通る燃料の流れが、前記第1の開口部を介した前記液体分離機構の排液を促すように、前記液体分離機構と選択的に流体連通状態になり、
更に、前記燃料ポンプと前記ベンチュリノズルとの間に機能的に接続された減圧機構を含み、該減圧機構は、前記ベンチュリノズルへ流れる液体燃料のために、蛇行した流路を形成するように配置される、連続した複数のプラグを含んでおり、これによって、圧力を低下させ、液体燃料の流速を増大させることを特徴とするシステム。 - 前記バルブ本体は環状であり、前記ばねは、環状の前記バルブ本体の内側に合致する直径を有していることを特徴とする請求項11記載のシステム。
- 前記ばねは、バルブキャビティ内に配置され、前記ハウジングは、前記バルブキャビティに露出した第2の開口部を形成しており、
前記第1の開口部を介して前記液体分離機構から排液された液体は、前記第2の開口部を介して前記バルブキャビティから流出することを特徴とする請求項11記載のシステム。 - 前記バルブ本体の前記円錐状の端部は、前記キャビティ内の圧力と前記バルブキャビティ内の圧力との圧力差に晒され、
前記バルブは、前記圧力差によってもたらされる前記円錐状の端部の領域における力が、前記ばねの力より強い場合に、前記開位置へと移動することを特徴とする請求項13記載のシステム。 - 前記第2の開口部は、前記第1の開口部よりも低い位置にあることを特徴とする請求項13記載のシステム。
- 前記噴射ポンプは、前記燃料タンク内の前記燃料ポンプと異なる高さにあることを特徴とする請求項11記載のシステム。
