Claims (1)
- シリンダと、
該シリンダの端面を覆うシリンダヘッドと、
平面視で、前記シリンダの径方向中心に位置するように前記シリンダヘッドに取り付けられており、燃料を放射状に噴射可能な複数の噴口を有している、燃料噴射弁と、
前記シリンダ内に往復運動可能に設けられたピストンであって、上死点に位置するときに前記燃料噴射弁から噴射された燃料を受け入れ可能なように、冠面から前記シリンダヘッドとは反対側に凹設されたキャビティを有する、ピストンと
を備え、
前記キャビティは、開口部に位置しており前記キャビティの内部に比して縮径されたリップ部と、該リップ部から底部に向かう周辺部とを有し、該周辺部は、前記リップ部よりも拡径するように径方向外側へ凹設されており前記ピストンの中心軸を含む平面上の断面形状が前記キャビティの中心側に中心を有する円弧により構成されており、
前記ピストンは、前記キャビティの前記周辺部から前記冠面側にわたって径方向外側へ放射状に凹設された複数の切欠き部を周方向に互いに間隔を空けて更に有しており、該切欠き部は、径方向に対向して周方向に延びる周方向壁部を有し該周方向壁部が前記冠面側から前記周辺部側に向かって前記シリンダの中心軸に対して0°以上50°以下の角度で径方向内側へ傾斜しており、
前記燃料噴射弁は、前記複数の噴口が、周方向に隣り合う前記切欠き部の間に位置する非切欠き部を指向するように配置されており、噴霧が、前記ピストンが圧縮上死点近傍に位置するとき、前記リップ部と前記周辺部との境界部近傍を指向するように構成されている、ディーゼルエンジン。
