Description
室内熱交換器51aは、室内機5aが冷房運転を行う場合は蒸発器として機能し、室内機5aが暖房運転を行う場合は凝縮器として機能する。
図1(A)に示すように、室内機5a〜5cが暖房運転を行う場合、つまり、冷媒回路10が暖房サイクルとなる場合は、室外機制御手段200のCPU210は、四方弁22を実線で示す状態、すなわち、四方弁22のポートaとポートdが連通するよう、また、ポートbとポートcが連通するよう、切り換える。これにより、室外熱交換器23が蒸発器として機能するとともに、室内熱交換器51a〜51cが凝縮器として機能する。そして、CPU210は、圧縮機21および室外ファン29を起動するとともに、第1流量バランス手段26a〜第3流量バランス手段26cの開閉弁26ab〜26cbの開閉制御を行う。ここでは、CPU210は、外気温度センサ37から取り込んだ外気温度が閾外気温度以上であるので、図2(A)に示すように、開閉弁26ab〜26cbは全て閉とする。
外気温度センサ37で検出した外気温度が閾外気温度未満である場合は、第1流量バランス手段26a〜第3流量バランス手段26cの開閉弁26ab〜26cbの開閉制御を除き、冷媒回路10の動作や冷媒の流れは、前述した「外気温度が閾外気温度以上である場合」と同じであるため、詳細な説明は省略し、第1流量バランス手段26a〜第3流量バランス手段26cにおける冷媒の流れとその効果のみ説明する。

Claims (5)
- 複数の冷媒パスを備えた室外熱交換器と、外気温度を検出する外気温度検出手段を有する空気調和装置であって、
複数の前記冷媒パスのうち少なくとも1本の冷媒パスに、当該冷媒パスに流れる冷媒流量を規制するか否かを切り換える流量バランス手段を有し、
前記室外熱交換器が蒸発器として機能するとき、
前記外気温度検出手段で検出した外気温度が予め定められる閾外気温度より低い場合は、前記流量バランス手段による冷媒流量の規制を行わず、
前記外気温度検出手段で検出した外気温度が前記閾外気温度より高い場合は、前記流量バランス手段による冷媒流量の規制を行う、
ことを特徴とする空気調和装置。 - 前記流量バランス手段は、同流量バランス手段が設けられた冷媒パスに流れる冷媒流量を規制する流量規制手段と、開閉手段を備え前記流量規制手段をバイパスするバイパス管を有し、
前記室外熱交換器が蒸発器として機能するとき、
前記外気温度検出手段で検出した外気温度が前記閾外気温度未満である場合は、前記開閉手段が開とされ、
前記外気温度検出手段で検出した外気温度が前記閾外気温度以上である場合は、前記開閉手段が閉とされる、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の空気調和装置。 - 前記流量バランス手段が複数の冷媒パスに設けられるとき、当該複数のパスでの冷媒流量の規制量が異なるように、前記流量規制手段が選択される、
ことを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の空気調和装置。 - 前記流量バランス手段は流量調整弁で構成され、
前記室外熱交換器が蒸発器として機能するとき、
前記外気温度検出手段で検出した外気温度が前記閾外気温度未満である場合は、前記流量調整弁が全開とされ、
前記外気温度検出手段で検出した外気温度が前記閾外気温度以上である場合は、前記流量調整弁が所定開度とされるとともに、前記流量バランス手段が複数の冷媒パスに設けられるときは、当該複数のパスでの冷媒流量の規制量が異なるように、前記流量調整弁の開度が制御される、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の空気調和装置。 - 前記室外熱交換器において、前記複数の冷媒パスは上下方向に並列に配置され、
前記流量バランス手段は、少なくとも一番下に配置される冷媒パスに設けられる、
ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項4に記載の空気調和装置。
