Claims (3)
- 光結合型光学システムであって、
上方表面および下方表面を備え、かつ第1屈折率を有している、透明シート、
前記透明シートの前記下方表面に接触して配置され、かつ前記第1屈折率と実質的に同一の第2屈折率を有している、屈折率整合層、
光を放射する光源、および
前記屈折率整合層内に少なくとも部分的に配置され、かつ前記光源に光学的に結合されて前記光を導波光として運ぶ、光拡散性光ファイバであって、コア内に位置する不規則に配列された空洞と、前記コアを包囲しているクラッドとを有し、前記コアならびに前記クラッドが、前記導波光を、前記コアならびに前記クラッドの外へ該光拡散性光ファイバの外表面を介して散乱させることによって、実質的に空間的に連続した光放射を提供するように構成されている、光拡散性光ファイバ、を備え、
前記散乱された光が前記透明シートと前記屈折率整合層との内部を全反射で移動しかつ該散乱された光が前記透明シートの少なくとも1つの散乱フィーチャによって前記透明シートの前記上方表面から外へと散乱されるように、前記光拡散性光ファイバが配置されていることを特徴とするシステム。 - 前記光拡散性光ファイバが、前記透明シートの中央部分の下には配置されていないことを特徴とする請求項1記載のシステム。
- 前記透明シートの前記散乱フィーチャが、前記透明シートの前記上方表面に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1または2記載のシステム。
