Description
Cu、Ni、Si、Snを元素比でそれぞれ97%、2%、0.5%、0.5%含むCu−Ni合金を用いて、幅4mm、長さ50mm、厚さ0.1mmを有する負極タブを作製した。
負極集電体の両面において負極タブが付着する一部分を除いて負極活物質をそれぞれ塗布した後、負極活物質が塗布されていない無地部に、実施例1に係る負極タブの一側端部を超音波溶接によって付着して、負極を作製し、このような負極を含むジェリーロール型電極組立体を完成した。電極組立体を円筒状の電池ケースに挿入し、負極タブの他側端部を抵抗溶接によって電池ケースの内面下端に付着して、円筒型二次電池を作製した。
Ni(含量>99%)素材の負極タブを使用したこと以外は、実施例1と同様の方法で負極タブを作製した。
比較例1の負極タブを用いたこと以外は、実施例2と同様の方法で円筒型二次電池を製造した。
実施例1及び比較例1で作製された負極タブに対する抵抗を、抵抗測定器を使用してそれぞれ測定した。抵抗の測定は、負極タブの抵抗を数回にわたって測定し、測定された実験値を抵抗の最大値、最小値、平均値で下記表1に示す。
実施例2及び比較例2で作製された円筒型二次電池に対する抵抗を、抵抗測定器を使用してそれぞれ測定した。参考に、正極は、Niからなる正極タブを使用して作製した。抵抗の測定は、円筒型二次電池の抵抗を数回にわたって測定し、測定された実験値を抵抗の最大値、最小値、平均値で下記表2に示す。

Claims (13)
- 正極/分離膜/負極構造の電極組立体が、電解液が含浸された状態で電池ケースに内蔵されている構造の二次電池であって、電極組立体のそれぞれの極板には、活物質が塗布されていない部位に電極タブが付着しており、前記電極タブのうち、一側端部が電池ケースに付着する負極タブはCu−Ni合金からなり、
前記Cu−Ni合金においてNiの含量は、合金の全重量を基準として0.05%〜3%であり、
前記Cu−Ni合金には、Si及びSnから選択される1つ以上の元素がさらに含まれ、前記Siの含量は、合金の全重量を基準として0.05%〜0.80%であり、前記Snの含量は、合金の全重量を基準として0.10%〜0.70%であり、
前記Cu−Ni合金の、極板に付着する面とは反対側の面上に銅層が積層されることを特徴とする、二次電池。 - 前記電池ケースは円筒形の缶であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電極組立体は、正極シートと負極シートとが分離膜が介在した状態で巻き取られている構造のジェリーロール型であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記負極タブは、電池ケースの内面下端に付着していることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記負極タブは、極板に超音波溶接によって付着しており、一側端部が抵抗溶接によって電池ケースの内面に付着していることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記負極タブは、幅が2mm〜8mmであり、長さが10mm〜90mmであり、厚さが0.05mm〜0.5mmであるストリップ状の部材であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記銅層の、前記Cu−Ni合金に積層する面とは反対側の面上に、追加的なCu−Ni合金層が積層されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記追加的なCu−Ni合金層には、Si及びSnから選択される1つ以上の元素がさらに含まれていることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の二次電池。
- 前記追加的なCu−Ni合金層に含まれる前記Siの含量は、前記追加的なCu−Ni合金層の合金の全重量を基準として0.05%〜0.80%であり、前記追加的なCu−Ni合金層に含まれる前記Snの含量は、前記追加的なCu−Ni合金層の合金の全重量を基準として0.10%〜0.70%であることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の二次電池。
- 前記二次電池はリチウム二次電池であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 請求項10に記載のリチウム二次電池を単位電池として含むことを特徴とする、電池パック。
- 請求項11に記載の電池パックを電源として含んでいることを特徴とする、デバイス。
- 前記デバイスは、モバイル電子機器、電気自動車、ハイブリッド電気自動車、プラグインハイブリッド電気自動車または電力貯蔵装置からなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項12に記載のデバイス。
