Description
実験は、代表的なガス発生組成物において、水酸化アルミニウムの粒径がスラグ生成に与える影響を測定するために実施する。比較例1は、より小さい従来のサイズの水酸化アルミニウム粒子を有し、実施例2は、本教示の特定の態様により調製される。ガス発生剤の原料並びに比較例1及び実施例2両方の原料の特性を表2に示す。
実施例1の文脈において記載される比較例1及び実施例2のガス発生剤も、直径0.25インチ×0.060インチの錠剤にプレスされ、運転席側の自動車用エアバッグインフレータに装填され、60リットルのタンク内で展開される。展開後、タンクを洗い流し、洗浄水を集める。不溶性の微粒子をフィルターで捕捉し、乾燥後に重量を測定する。可溶性の微粒子は、洗浄水を蒸発させて析出させ、重量を測定する。燃焼フィルターを通り抜ける全微粒子は、タンク内で得られた可溶性及び不溶性の微粒子の重量を合計して求める。この値を「タンク洗浄値」と呼ぶ。
Claims (11)
- 燃料と、
塩基性硝酸銅を含む少なくとも1つの酸化剤と、
約150μm以上の平均粒子直径を有する水酸化アルミニウムを含む吸熱性スラグ生成成分とを含むガス発生組成物であって、前記ガス発生組成物が、約1900K(1627℃)以下の燃焼時最高火炎温度(Tc)を有するガス発生組成物。 - 前記燃焼時最高火炎温度(Tc)が、約1350K(1077℃)以上から約1450K(1177℃)以下である、請求項1に記載のガス発生組成物。
- 水酸化アルミニウムを含む前記吸熱性スラグ生成成分が、前記全ガス発生組成物の約5重量%以上から約20重量%以下存在する、請求項1に記載のガス発生組成物。
- 前記燃料が、硝酸グアニジン、ビスグアニル尿素銅二硝酸塩、ヘキサアンミンコバルト(III)硝酸塩、ジアンミン銅ビテトラゾール、及びこれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載のガス発生組成物。
- 水酸化アルミニウムを含む前記吸熱性スラグ生成成分が、約200μm以上の平均粒子直径を有する、請求項1に記載のガス発生組成物。

- スラグ生成を改善する前記吸熱性スラグ生成成分が、水酸化アルミニウムを含み、かつ、前記全ガス発生組成物の約5重量%以上から約20重量%以下存在する、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 水酸化アルミニウムを含む前記吸熱性スラグ生成成分を導入する前記工程が、前記ガス発生組成物の燃焼中のスラグ生成を少なくとも60%改善する、請求項8に記載の方法。
