Description
(表示体の構成について)
図1は、本発明の第1の実施形態に係る表示体1を概略的に示す平面図である。図2は、図1に示した表示体1を裏面から観察した際の様子を示す平面図である。図3は、図1に示す表示体1のレリーフ構造形成領域11〜14の各断面図である。なお、各図において、x方向およびy方向は、表示体1の表示面に対して平行であり、かつ互いに対して垂直な方向である。また、z方向は、x方向およびy方向に対して垂直な方向である。また、表示体1のレリーフ構造形成層10側を「表面側」、光散乱層40側を「裏面側」と定義する。
表示体1のレリーフ構造形成領域に形成されている凹凸構造によって実現される視覚効果について説明するにあたり、まず、回折格子の格子定数(溝のピッチ)と、照明光の波長と、照明光の入射角と、回折光の射出角との関係について説明する。
次に、レリーフ構造形成層10に形成されたレリーフ構造形成領域によって実現される光学的性質について説明する。
図13は、本実施形態に採用可能なレリーフ構造形成層10の構成の一例を概略的に示す拡大斜視図である。図3においては、複数の凸部がz軸下方(紙面下方向)に構成されるよう図示したが、図13においては、z軸上方(紙面上方向)に構成されるように示している。
光散乱層40の光散乱性を領域毎に変化させることによって、絵柄、文字、数字、および記号等の視認可能な情報を表示させることも可能である。図18Aおよび図18Bは、光散乱層40の光散乱性の差違によって視認可能な情報を表示する表示体1の一例を示す。
図20は、本発明の第3の実施形態に係る表示体1の構成を示す断面図である。
(表示体の使用方法)
表示体を紙およびプラスチックフィルムのような基材、またはその他の物品に備え付けて、表示体を表裏面の双方から観察する場合には、基材およびその他の物品は、開口部または表裏から視認可能な窓部を設けて、表示体を観察可能な構成を有することが望ましい。
なお、本発明は上述した各実施形態に限定されるものではない。

Claims (7)
- 光透過性の基材の一方の主面側に設けられた複数のレリーフ構造形成領域を有するレリーフ構造形成層と、
前記レリーフ構造形成層の少なくとも一部を覆う光反射層と、
前記レリーフ構造形成層の前記光反射層の側に設けられ、光透過性を有し、かつ少なくとも一部に光散乱性を有する光散乱層と、
を具備し、
前記複数のレリーフ構造形成領域は、前記主面に対して略平行な第1面および該第1面に略平行な第2面を有する複数の凸部または複数の凹部を有し、
前記第2面は、前記第1面よりも前記基材に近い面であり、
前記光反射層は、前記複数の凸部または凹部の形状に追従して形成されており、
前記複数のレリーフ構造形成領域のそれぞれにおいて、前記第1面と前記第2面との高低差が略一定であり、
前記複数のレリーフ構造形成領域のそれぞれにおいて、前記第1面から構成される仮想平面の高さは、他のレリーフ構造形成領域の前記仮想平面の高さとは異なり、
前記複数のレリーフ構造形成領域は、表示すべきカラー画像に応じて配置されており、および
前記光散乱層は、前記レリーフ構造形成領域に対応して、異なる層厚を有する複数の光散乱領域を含む
ことを特徴とする記載の表示体。 - カラーの印刷層をさらに備えたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示体。
- 前記光散乱層は、光散乱性を有する球状微粒子を含有することを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の表示体。
- 前記光散乱層は、接着層であることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の表示体。
- 前記光散乱層の光散乱性が単位体積内において略均一であることを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の表示体。
- 前記光散乱層は、80%以上のヘーズ値、および30%以上の全光線透過率を有することを特徴とする請求項1から5のいずれかに記載の表示体。
- 請求項1から6のいずれかに記載の表示体と、該表示体を支持した物品とを具備したことを特徴とするラベル付き物品。
