Claims (4)
- 筒状のシリンダと、
上記シリンダに出入りするピストンロッドと、
上記ピストンロッドに保持されて上記シリンダ内に形成される二つの部屋を区画するピストンと、
上記二つの部屋に充填されて磁界の作用によって粘度が変化する磁気粘性流体と、
上記二つの部屋を連通する通路と、
上記通路を通過する上記磁気粘性流体の粘度を調節する粘度調節手段とを備え、
内部に上記磁気粘性流体が封入される磁気粘性流体緩衝器を備えており、
車体と車輪の間に介装される懸架装置において、
車体側に連結されるアウターチューブと、車輪側に連結されて上記アウターチューブに出入りするインナーチューブとからなり、上記磁気粘性流体緩衝器を収容するチューブ部材と、
上記チューブ部材に収容される潤滑液と、
上記インナーチューブと上記磁気粘性流体緩衝器との間に設けられて上記潤滑液の車輪側への浸入を防ぐシール部材とを備える懸架装置。 - 上記磁気粘性流体は、上記シリンダに封入されており、上記磁気粘性流体緩衝器は、上記シリンダに出入りするピストンロッド体積分のシリンダ内容積変化を補償する気室を上記シリンダ内に区画するフリーピストンを備えている
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の懸架装置。 - 上記磁気粘性流体緩衝器は、上記シリンダの開口端部に取り付けられて上記ピストンロッドを軸方向に移動自在に軸支する環状のロッドガイドを備えており、
上記ロッドガイドは、上記シリンダに挿入される小径部と、上記小径部に連なり上記シリンダの外側に張り出す大径部とを備えており、上記大径部の外周に上記シール部材が取り付けられている
ことを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の懸架装置。 - 上記シリンダが車輪側に連結されるとともに、上記ピストンロッドが車体側に連結されている
ことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の懸架装置。
