Description
本実施形態において水酸基含有アクリル樹脂は、水酸基を有する重合性不飽和単量体類と、該単量体類と共重合可能な他の不飽和単量体類との共重合体である。
本実施形態においてフッ素樹脂は、フッ素含有単量体の重合体及び共重合体を包含する。フッ素含有単量体としては、含フッ素(メタ)アクリレート系単量体及び含フッ素オレフィン系単量体が使用できる。前者としてトリフルオロメチル(メタ)アクリレート、トリフルオロエチル(メタ)アクリレート、パーフルオロデシルエチル(メタ)アクリレート、パーフルオロオクチルエチル(メタ)アクリレート、パーフルオロヘキシルエチル(メタ)アクリレート、パーフルオロブチルエチル(メタ)アクリレート、パーフルオロポリエーテル(メタ)アクリレートなどからなる群より選ばれる少なくとも1つを使用できる。後者としてテトラフルオロエチレン、クロロトリフルオロエチレン、ヘキサフルオロプロピレン、パーフルオロプロピルビニルエーテルなどからなる群より選ばれる少なくとも1つを使用できる。ここで、上述のとおり(メタ)アクリレートとは、アクリレート又はメタクリレートを意味する。
光拡散性粒子としては、従来使用されている任意の無機及び/又は有機粒子を使用することができる。前者として二酸化ケイ素、酸化アルミニウム、二酸化チタン、酸化ジルコニウム、酸化錫、炭酸カルシウム、硫酸バリウム、カオリン、硫酸カルシウム等からなる群より選ばれる少なくとも1つが挙げられる。後者としてポリ(メタ)アクリル系、ポリスチレン系、シリコーン、ポリカーボネート、アクリル/スチレンコポリマー、ベンゾグアナミン樹脂、メラミン樹脂、ポリオレフィン、ポリエステル、ポリアミド、ポリイミド及びポリフッ化エチレン粒子からなる群より選ばれる少なくとも1つが挙げられる。これらは架橋又は非架橋のいずれであってもよい。これらのうち、ベンゾグアナミン樹脂、アクリル/スチレンコポリマー、シリコーン、メラミン樹脂からなる群より選ばれる少なくとも1つが好ましい。
本実施形態の塗料組成物は、上記各成分を有機溶剤中に同時にもしくは逐次添加して、公知の撹拌もしくは混練手段により混合することによって作ることができる。有機溶剤としては、水酸基含有アクリル樹脂及びフッ素樹脂を溶解もしくは分散することができるものであれば任意のものを使用することができる。例えば、トルエン、キシレン等の芳香族系溶剤、メチルエチルケトン、シクロヘキサノン等のケトン系溶剤、酢酸エステル等のエステル系溶剤からなる群より選ばれる少なくとも1つが挙げられる。均一な塗膜を形成し易い点で、該塗料組成物の不揮発分を、10〜30質量%程度とすることが好ましい。
本実施形態は、透明基材と、該透明基材の一面上に塗布された光拡散層とを備え、該光拡散層が上記本実施形態の塗料組成物から形成されたものであることを特徴とする光拡散部材である。図1は該光拡散部材の一実施形態の断面図である。光拡散部材1は、透明基材2の一面上に光拡散層3を備え、光拡散層3は本実施形態の塗料組成物を透明基材2の一面上に塗布して形成される。そして、光拡散層3中に光拡散性粒子4が添加されている。
以下、本発明を実施例によって説明する。
透明基材としてアクリル樹脂で形成されたアクリル板(50mm×70mm×厚さ2mm、屈折率1.49、透過率92.5%、ヘーズ0.2%、拡散率0%)を用いた。
水酸基含有アクリル樹脂としてFU−355−BA(商品名)(DIC(株)製、屈折率1.49、水酸基価45、重量平均分子量16,000)を用いた。フッ素樹脂としてエフクリア(登録商標)KD100(商品名)(関東電化工業(株)製、ポリフルオロオレフィン共重合体、屈折率1.43)を用いた。光拡散性粒子としてエポスター(登録商標)MS(商品名)(株式会社日本触媒製、球状ベンゾグアナミン系樹脂粒子、屈折率1.66、平均粒子径1〜3μm)を用いた。
フッ素樹脂/水酸基含有アクリル樹脂固形分質量比を50/50としたことを除き、実施例1と同様の手順で光拡散層を形成した。得られた光拡散層表面の算術平均粗さRaは2.9μmであった。
水酸基含有アクリル樹脂としてWCU865(商品名)(DIC(株)製、屈折率1.49、水酸基価28、重量平均分子量20,000)を用いたことを除き、実施例1と同様の手順で光拡散層を形成した。得られた光拡散層表面の算術平均粗さRaは2.6μmであった。
水酸基含有アクリル樹脂としてアクリディック(登録商標)A−814(商品名)(DIC(株)製、屈折率1.49、水酸基価15、重量平均分子量30,000)を用いたことを除き、実施例1と同様の手順で光拡散層を形成した。得られた光拡散層表面の算術平均粗さRaは2.8μmであった。
実施例1において、フッ素樹脂を添加しなかったことを除き実施例1と同様の手順で光拡散層を形成した。得られた光拡散層表面の算術平均粗さRaは2.4μmであった。
水酸基含有アクリル樹脂としてWBU1218(商品名)(DIC(株)製、屈折率1.49、水酸基価12、重量平均分子量70,000)を用いたことを除き、実施例1と同様の手順で光拡散層を形成した。得られた光拡散層表面の算術平均粗さRaは2.2μmであった。
水酸基含有アクリル樹脂としてアクリディック(登録商標)52−668BA(商品名)(DIC(株)製、屈折率1.49、水酸基価25、重量平均分子量63,000)を用いたことを除き、実施例1と同様の手順で光拡散層を形成した。得られた光拡散層表面の算術平均粗さRaは2.4μmであった。
水酸基含有アクリル樹脂としてアクリディック(登録商標)52−666BA(商品名)(DIC(株)製、屈折率1.49、水酸基価75.9、重量平均分子量15,000)を用いたことを除き、実施例1と同様の手順で光拡散層を形成した。得られた光拡散層表面の算術平均粗さRaは2.6μmであった。
水酸基含有アクリル樹脂としてFU−355−BA(商品名)(DIC(株)製、屈折率1.49、水酸基価45、重量平均分子量16,000)を用いた。フッ素樹脂/水酸基含有アクリル樹脂質量比を80/20としたことを除き、実施例1と同様にして塗料組成物を調製した。該組成物を透明基材上に塗布したところ、レベリングが悪く、基材の端部が厚く中心部が薄くなり塗布ムラが発生した。
水酸基含有アクリル樹脂としてFU−355−BA(商品名)(DIC(株)製、屈折率1.49、水酸基価45、重量平均分子量16,000)を用いた。フッ素樹脂/水酸基含有アクリル樹脂質量比を1/99としたことを除き、実施例1と同様にして光拡散層を形成した。得られた光拡散層表面の算術平均粗さRaは2.2μmであった。
ヘーズメーター(日本電色工業株式会社製「NDH2000」)を用いて全光線透過率(%)を測定した。
パナソニック(株)製LEDシーリングライトHH−LC626Aを用い、各光学部材のランプイメージを消す能力を目視により確認した。HH−LC626Aに付属の照明用カバーの光源との距離が一番近い部分を50mm×70mmのサイズで切り出し、各光学部材をその切り出し部にはめ込み、ランプイメージを消す能力を以下のような基準で目視により評価した。
A:付属照明用カバーと同等以上に光源形状が確認できない。
B:光源形状はぼやけているが、付属照明用カバーには劣る。
C:光源形状が確認できる。
目視により硬化後の塗膜の均一性を評価し、均一であるものをA、不均一であるものをXとした。
透明基材として、実施例1で用いたアクリル板を用いた。水酸基含有アクリル樹脂として実施例1で用いたFU−355−BA(商品名)を、フッ素樹脂としてKD100(商品名)(関東電化工業(株)製、ポリフルオロオレフィン共重合体、屈折率1.43)を用いた。フッ素樹脂/水酸基含有アクリル樹脂質量比を0/100、10/90、30/70、100/0と変え、拡散粒子を添加せず、不揮発分が20質量%となる量のシクロヘキサノンと混合することによって、塗料を調製した。
水酸基含有アクリル樹脂として比較例2で用いたWBU1218(商品名)を用いたことを除き、サンプル1と同様の手順で透明樹脂層を有したサンプル2を作製した。
実施例と同様の方法で、全光線透過率(%)を測定した。結果を図2に示す。同図はフッ素樹脂/水酸基含有アクリル樹脂質量比による全光線透過率の変化を示すグラフである。同図において、縦軸は、フッ素樹脂/水酸基含有アクリル樹脂質量比が0/100、10/90、30/70、100/0のときの透過率T0、T10、T30、T100と、T0との差ΔT(%)(Tx−T0、x=0、10、30、100)である。

Claims (6)
- 水酸基含有アクリル樹脂と、ポリフルオロオレフィン系樹脂と、光拡散性粒子とを含み、該水酸基含有アクリル樹脂は、その重量平均分子量が10,000〜30,000であり且つ水酸基価が14〜70であり、
該水酸基含有アクリル樹脂に対する該ポリフルオロオレフィン系樹脂の質量比(ポリフルオロオレフィン系樹脂/水酸基含有アクリル樹脂)が5/95〜50/50であることを特徴とする光拡散層形成用塗料組成物。 - 前記光拡散性粒子と前記水酸基含有アクリル樹脂との屈折率差が0.05〜0.25であり、前記光拡散性粒子の平均粒子径(d50)が0.8〜15μmであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光拡散層形成用塗料組成物。
- 透明基材と、該透明基材の一面上に塗布された光拡散層とを備え、該光拡散層が請求項1又は2に記載の光拡散層形成用塗料組成物から形成されたものであることを特徴とする光拡散部材。
- 前記光拡散層において、前記水酸基含有アクリル樹脂に対する前記ポリフルオロオレフィン系樹脂の質量比(ポリフルオロオレフィン系樹脂/水酸基含有アクリル樹脂)が、前記光拡散層の表面側において透明基材側よりも高いことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の光拡散部材。
- 前記光拡散層の表面の算術平均粗さ(Ra)が1〜10μmであることを特徴とする請求項3又は4に記載の光拡散部材。
- 請求項3〜5のいずれか1項に記載の光拡散部材を備える照明用カバー。
