Claims (10)
- カラーフィルター基板、アレイ基板、及び上記カラーフィルター基板とアレイ基板との間に封止されている液晶層を含み、
ここにおいて、上記アレイ基板は少なくとも一つの第一画素電極と、少なくとも一つの第二画素電極とを備え、上記第一画素電極と上記第二画素電極は間隔をおいて配列され、且つ周波数が同じで逆位相である交流電圧がそれぞれ印加され、
上記カラーフィルター基板に配置された共通電極を更に含み、
上記共通電極の、上記アレイ基板に向いている側は、保護層に覆われており、
上記共通電極は、ストライプ状電極であることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 上記第一画素電極と上記第二画素電極上に印加される上記交流電圧は同じ振幅を有することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 上記液晶層中には、ポジティブ液晶分子が含まれていることを特徴とする、上記請求項1または2に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 上記第一画素電極及び上記第二画素電極は、同じ層のインジウムースズ酸化物層に対しパターン化工程を行うことによって作製されたものであることを特徴とする、上記請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 上記第一画素電極及び第二画素電極は、直線型ストライプ状電極であることを特徴とする、上記請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 上記第一画素電極及び上記第二画素電極は、インジウムースズ酸化物半導体材料を用いることを特徴とする、上記請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 上記液晶層中の液晶分子は、電源を印加していない場合は垂直配向であることを特徴とする、上記請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 液晶表示装置駆動方法であって、
カラーフィルター基板、アレイ基板、及び上記カラーフィルター基板とアレイ基板との間に封止されている液晶層を含み、
ここにおいて、上記アレイ基板は少なくとも一つの第一画素電極と、少なくとも一つの第二画素電極を有し、上記第一画素電極と第二画素電極は間隔をおいて配列され、且つ上記第一画素電極及び上記第二画素電極上には、周波数が同じで逆位相である交流電圧がそれぞれ印加され、
上記カラーフィルター基板に配置された共通電極を更に含み、
上記共通電極の、上記アレイ基板に向いている側は、保護層に覆われており、
上記共通電極は、ストライプ状電極であることを特徴とする、液晶表示装置駆動方法。 - 上記第一画素電極及び上記第二画素電極上にそれぞれ印加される上記交流電圧は同じ振幅を有することを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の液晶表示装置駆動方法。
- 正負の電圧を印加される作用下において、上記液晶層中の、水平方向電界強度が垂直方向電界強度より強い位置にある液晶分子は、水平状態に近い状態を呈することを特徴とする、請求項8または9に記載の液晶表示装置駆動方法。
