図3を参照して、シリーズHV走行では、エンジン100が作動されるとともにクラッチ4が遮断状態に制御される。したがって、エンジン100の出力は、駆動輪6へは伝達されず、モータジェネレータMG1に伝達される。モータジェネレータMG1は、エンジン100の出力によって発電する。ハイブリッド車両10は、モータジェネレータMG1に従う発電電力および/または蓄電装置50の蓄積電力を用いて、モータジェネレータMG2の出力によって走行する。
図4を参照して、パラレルHV走行では、エンジン100が作動されるとともにクラッチ4が連結状態に制御される。したがって、エンジン100の出力は、駆動輪6へ伝達される。さらに、駆動輪6に対しては、モータジェネレータMG2の出力も伝達される。したがって、パラレルHV走行では、ハイブリッド車両10は、エンジン100の出力、または、エンジン100およびモータジェネレータMG2の出力によって走行する。
図11を参照して、シリーズHV走行時には、充放電要求パワーPchgは、図9と同様の特性線300に従って、現在のSOCおよびSOC制御目標中心Stg(S)の比較に応じて設定される。
再び図6を参照して、パラレルHV走行時における、エンジン効率を高めるための動作点の設定は、走行パワーに対応した動作点(たとえば、図6中のP2)から、エンジン回転数Neを維持した上で、エンジントルクTeを増加させるものとなる。したがって、このような動作点の設定によるエンジントルクの変化分をΔTeとすると、エンジン100が、走行パワーに対して過剰に出力するパワーは、ΔTe×Neで示される。たとえば、図6中に示された動作点P3では、エンジン100の出力パワーは、必要な走行パワーに対して、ΔPe=(Te3−Te2)×Ne2だけ過剰となる。
実施の形態2では、蓄電装置のSOC(State Of Charge)を消費するCD(Charge Depleting)モードと、SOCを維持するCS(Charge Sustaining)モードとを含むモードと選択するハイブリッド車両での燃費改善について説明する。
図14を参照して、外部充電により蓄電装置50が満充電状態となった後(SOC=SMAX)、CDモードで走行が開始されたものとする。
Claims (7)
- 内燃機関と、
前記内燃機関に対して機械的に連結された第1の回転電機と、
駆動輪に対して機械的に連結された第2の回転電機と、
前記内燃機関および前記駆動輪間の機械的な動力伝達経路を形成する連結状態および当該動力伝達経路を遮断する遮断状態のいずれかに制御される切換装置と、
前記第1および第2の回転電機との間で電力を授受可能な蓄電装置と、
複数の走行モードを切換えて走行するように前記第1および第2の回転電機、前記切換装置、ならびに前記内燃機関の動作を制御するための制御装置とを備え、
前記複数の走行モードは、
前記切換装置を遮断状態に制御するとともに前記内燃機関を作動させることにより、前記第1の回転電機による発電を伴って前記第2の回転電機の出力によって走行するシリーズHV走行と、
前記切換装置を連結状態に制御するとともに前記内燃機関を作動させることにより、前記内燃機関の出力の少なくとも一部を用いて走行するパラレルHV走行とを含み、
前記パラレルHV走行における前記蓄電装置のSOC範囲は、前記シリーズHV走行におけるSOC範囲よりも高SOC側の領域を含み、
前記制御装置は、前記シリーズHV走行および前記パラレルHV走行の各々において、前記蓄電装置のSOCがSOC制御目標へ近付くように前記内燃機関の出力を制御し、
前記制御装置は、同一のSOCに対する前記蓄電装置の充放電パワーが、前記パラレルHV走行において前記シリーズHV走行よりも充電側に大きくなる領域を有するように、前記内燃機関の出力を制御する、ハイブリッド車両。 - 前記制御装置は、前記シリーズHV走行および前記パラレルHV走行の各々において、前記蓄電装置のSOCがSOC制御目標へ近付くように前記内燃機関の出力を制御し、
前記SOC制御目標は、前記パラレルHV走行において、前記シリーズHV走行よりも高く設定される、請求項1記載のハイブリッド車両。 - 前記制御装置は、前記シリーズHV走行および前記パラレルHV走行の各々において、前記蓄電装置のSOCがSOC制御上限値に達すると前記蓄電装置の充電を禁止し、
前記SOC制御上限値は、前記パラレルHV走行において、前記シリーズHV走行よりも高く設定される、請求項1または2に記載のハイブリッド車両。 - 前記制御装置は、車両走行に要求される走行パワーと前記蓄電装置のSOCを制御するための前記蓄電装置の充放電パワーとの和に従って前記内燃機関の出力を制御し、
前記パラレルHV走行において、前記蓄電装置の充放電パワーが、前記内燃機関の効率に従って予め設定される最適動作線上で現在の前記内燃機関の回転数となる動作点でのエンジン出力パワーと、前記走行パワーとの差分を超えないように、前記内燃機関の出力は制限される、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のハイブリッド車両。 - 前記複数の走行モードは、
前記切換装置を前記遮断状態に制御するとともに前記内燃機関を停止させることにより、前記第2の回転電機の出力によって走行するEV走行をさらに含み、
前記ハイブリッド車両は、CD(Charge Depleting)モードおよびCS(Charge Sustaining)モードとのいずれかを選択して走行し、
前記CDモードおよび前記CSモードの各々において、前記ハイブリッド車両の走行状況に応じて、前記シリーズHV走行、前記パラレルHV走行および前記EV走行のいずれかが選択され、
前記CSモードの選択時における前記シリーズHV走行および前記パラレルHV走行において、前記パラレルHV走行における前記SOC範囲は、前記シリーズHV走行における前記SOC範囲よりも高SOC側の領域を含み、
前記制御装置は、前記CSモードの選択時において、同一のSOCに対する前記蓄電装置の充放電パワーが、前記パラレルHV走行において前記シリーズHV走行よりも充電側に大きくなる領域を有するように、前記内燃機関の出力を制御する、請求項1に記載のハイブリッド車両。 - 前記制御装置は、前記CDモードおよび前記CSモードの各々において、車両走行に要求される走行パワーと前記蓄電装置のSOCを制御するための前記蓄電装置の充放電パワーとの和がしきい値を超えると、前記内燃機関を作動させて前記シリーズHV走行または前記パラレルHV走行を選択し、さらに、
前記制御装置は、前記CDモードにおいて、前記シリーズHV走行および前記パラレルHV走行の各々における前記内燃機関の出力を、前記蓄電装置の充放電パワーを含まないように制御する、請求項5記載のハイブリッド車両。 - 前記切換装置の前記連結状態において、前記内燃機関の出力軸および前記駆動輪の車軸の間の変速比は固定される、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載のハイブリッド車両。
