前記コリメート構造が、複合放物面集光器を備える、項目1に記載の光学システム。

前記バックライトライトガイドの入口表面が、前記光学的なライトガイド結合器の出力表面の面積に釣り合っている、項目14に記載の光学システム。

前記バックライトライトガイドの中心層の厚さが、前記コリメート構造の高さの約1/2以下である、項目1に記載の光学システム。

前記バックライトライトガイドの中心層の厚さが、前記光源の高さよりも約1桁小さい、項目1に記載の光学システム。

前記光源がLEDを備え、前記LEDにより出射される前記光が、前記コリメート構造によりコリメートされて、前記LEDにより出射される前記光の少なくとも25%が15度以下の半角の円錐内に含まれる、項目1に記載の光学システム。
[20]
システムが、前記バックライトライトガイドとディスプレイとの間に配設された空気クラッド層を含まない、項目1に記載の光学システム。
[21]
前記光学的なライトガイド結合器が、テーパー付の外形を有する、項目16に記載の光学システム。
[22]
前記テーパーが、少なくとも1つの軸において非線形である、項目21に記載の光学システム。
Claims (2)
- 光学システムであって:
光を出射する光源、
前記光を実質的にコリメートするコリメート構造、
第1のアスペクト比を照明する面積を有する前記実質的にコリメートされた光を受光し、及び第2のアスペクト比を照明する面積を有する光を出力し、前記第2のアスペクト比が前記第1のアスペクト比よりも少なくとも4倍大きい変換器ユニット、及び
前記光を前記変換器ユニットから受光するバックライトライトガイド、を備え、
前記変換器ユニットが、アナモルフィックライトガイドを備え、前記アナモルフィックライトガイドと前記バックライトライトガイドとの間に配設された光学的なライトガイド結合器を更に備え、
前記光学的なライトガイド結合器が、テーパー付の外形を有する、光学システム。 - 前記光源が、1つ以上の発光ダイオード(LED)を備える、請求項1に記載の光学システム。
