Description
また、本発明は、縦軸に沿って近位端から遠位端へ伸びる髄内釘であって:
前記近位端の開口部から前記縦軸に沿って伸びるキャビティ;
それを通してロッキングスクリューを受けるようにサイズと形状が調整された、横方向に前記釘を通って伸びる第一のロッキング孔;
前記キャビティに挿入されるようにサイズと形状が調整された円筒状の第一のインサートであって、近位端部、遠位端部、前記遠位端部に形成された第一係合部、第一の横ボア(transverse bore)であって、前記第一のインサートが前記キャビティ内の所望される位置にある場合に、前記第一のロッキング孔を通して挿入されたロッキングスクリューが前記第一の横ボアを介して前記第一のインサートを貫通するように、前記第一の横ボアが前記第一のロッキング孔と位置合わせされるように配置される、第一の横ボア、を含む第一のインサート;ならびに、
第二のインサートであって、前記キャビティ内の所望される位置において前記第一のインサートをロックするために前記第一のインサートの近位側の前記キャビティ内にロックするようにはめ込まれるようサイズと形状が調整された、第二のインサート、
を含み、
前記第一のインサートが前記キャビティに挿入され、前記第一のインサートが前記キャビティ内を前記縦軸周りに回転可能な状態で遠位方向に移動し、前記第一のインサートの前記第一係合部が、前記第一係合部と相補的形状を有する前記キャビティの第二係合部に係合した際に、前記キャビティに対する前記第一のインサートの回転が防止されて、前記第一の横ボアが前記第一のロッキング孔に位置合わせされる、髄内釘である。
また、前記第二のインサートは中央ボアを有し、前記第二のインサートの外側表面が、前記キャビティの近位端における前記髄内釘の内側表面と係合し、前記第一のインサートの外径は、前記第二のインサートの前記中央ボアの内径よりも大きく、前記第二のインサートの遠位端が、前記第一のインサートの近位端と当接し、前記第一のインサートの縦軸方向の移動が制限されて、前記第一のインサートが前記キャビティ中に保持され、
前記第二のインサートの前記中央ボアは、前記髄内釘へ結合されるべき器具をロックするように受けるよう構成された結合機構を有する。
Claims (17)
- 縦軸に沿って近位端から遠位端へ伸びる髄内釘であって:
前記近位端の開口部から前記縦軸に沿って伸びるキャビティ;
それを通してロッキングスクリューを受けるようにサイズと形状が調整された、横方向に前記釘を通って伸びる第一のロッキング孔;
前記キャビティに挿入されるようにサイズと形状が調整された円筒状の第一のインサートであって、近位端部、遠位端部、前記遠位端部に形成された第一係合部、第一の横ボアであって、前記第一のインサートが前記キャビティ内の所望される位置にある場合に、前記第一のロッキング孔を通して挿入されたロッキングスクリューが前記第一の横ボアを介して前記第一のインサートを貫通するように、前記第一の横ボアが前記第一のロッキング孔と位置合わせされるように配置される、第一の横ボア、を含む第一のインサート;ならびに、
第二のインサートであって、前記キャビティ内の所望される位置において前記第一のインサートをロックするために前記第一のインサートの近位側の前記キャビティ内にロックするようにはめ込まれるようサイズと形状が調整された、第二のインサート、
を含み、
前記第一のインサートが前記キャビティに挿入され、前記第一のインサートが前記キャビティ内を前記縦軸周りに回転可能な状態で遠位方向に移動し、前記第一のインサートの前記第一係合部が、前記第一係合部と相補的形状を有する前記キャビティの第二係合部に係合した際に、前記キャビティに対する前記第一のインサートの回転が防止されて、前記第一の横ボアが前記第一のロッキング孔に位置合わせされ、
前記第二のインサートは中央ボアを有し、前記第二のインサートの外側表面が、前記キャビティの近位端における前記髄内釘の内側表面と係合し、前記第一のインサートの外径は、前記第二のインサートの前記中央ボアの内径よりも大きく、前記第二のインサートの遠位端が、前記第一のインサートの近位端と当接し、前記第一のインサートの縦軸方向の移動が制限されて、前記第一のインサートが前記キャビティ中に保持され、
前記第二のインサートの前記中央ボアは、前記髄内釘へ結合されるべき器具をロックするように受けるよう構成された結合機構を有する、髄内釘。 - 前記第一のインサートの外径Dが、前記第二のインサートの前記中央ボアの内径dよりも大きい、請求項1に記載の髄内釘。
- 前記第一のインサートが、超高分子量ポリエチレンの材料から形成される、請求項1に記載の髄内釘。
- 前記第一の横ボアが前記ロッキングスクリューよりも小さい直径を有する、請求項1に記載の髄内釘。
- 前記髄内釘が、横方向にそれを通して伸びる第二のロッキング孔を含む、請求項1に記載の髄内釘。
- 第一および第二のロッキング孔が、互いに対して角度を有して、それを通して伸びる、請求項5に記載の髄内釘。
- 前記第一のインサートが、前記第一のインサートが前記キャビティ内の所望される位置にある場合、前記第二のロッキング孔と位置合わせされる第二の横ボアを含む、請求項5に記載の髄内釘。
- 前記第二のインサートが、前記キャビティの近位端における雌ネジと係合する雄ネジをその外側表面周囲に含む、請求項1に記載の髄内釘。
- 前記キャビティが、前記第一のインサートがそれを過ぎて遠位方向へ移動することを防止する停止部を含む、請求項1に記載の髄内釘。

第二のインサートであって、前記キャビティ内の所望される位置において前記第一のインサートをロックするために前記第一のインサートの近位側のキャビティ内にロックするようにはめ込まれるようサイズと形状が調整された、第二のインサート、
を含む、髄内釘;ならびに、
前記第一のロッキング孔を通って挿入され、前記第一のインサートを前記第一の横ボアを介して貫通するようサイズおよび形状が調整された第一のロッキングスクリューであって、前記第一のロッキングスクリューは、前記第一のインサートの前記第一の横ボアの直径よりも大きい直径を有する、第一のロッキングスクリュー、
を有し、
前記第一のインサートが前記キャビティに挿入され、前記第一のインサートが前記キャビティ内を前記縦軸周りに回転可能な状態で遠位方向に移動し、前記第一のインサートの前記第一係合部が、前記第一係合部と相補的形状を有する前記キャビティの第二係合部に係合した際に、前記キャビティに対する前記第一のインサートの回転が防止されて、前記第一の横ボアが前記第一のロッキング孔に位置合わせされ、
前記第二のインサートは中央ボアを有し、前記第二のインサートの外側表面が、前記キャビティの近位端における前記髄内釘の内側表面と係合し、前記第一のインサートの外径は、前記第二のインサートの前記中央ボアの内径よりも大きく、前記第二のインサートの遠位端が、前記第一のインサートの近位端と当接し、前記第一のインサートの縦軸方向の移動が制限されて、前記第一のインサートが前記キャビティ中に保持され、
前記第二のインサートの前記中央ボアは、前記髄内釘へ結合されるべき器具をロックするように受けるよう構成された結合機構を有する、髄内釘システム。 - 前記第一のインサートが、超高分子量ポリエチレンの材料から形成される、請求項10に記載の髄内釘システム。
- 前記第一のロッキングスクリューのネジが、前記第一の横ボアの壁の中へ切り込む、請求項10に記載の髄内釘システム。
- 前記髄内釘が、横方向にそれを通して伸びる第二のロッキング孔を含む、請求項10に記載の髄内釘システム。
- 第一および第二のロッキング孔が、互いに対して角度を有して、それを通して伸びる、請求項13に記載の髄内釘システム。
- 前記第一のインサートが、前記第一のインサートが前記キャビティ内の所望される位置にある場合、前記第二のロッキング孔と位置合わせされる第二の横ボアを含む、請求項13に記載の髄内釘システム。
- 前記第二のロッキング孔を通して挿入され、前記第一のインサートを前記第二の横ボアを介して貫通する第二のロッキングスクリューをさらに含む、請求項15に記載の髄内釘システム。
- 請求項1〜9の何れか1つに記載の髄内釘の前記キャビティ内へ前記第一のインサートを挿入するステップと、
前記キャビティ内へ前記第一のインサートを挿入した後に、前記髄内釘の前記キャビティ内へ前記第二のインサートを挿入するステップと、
