Claims (33)
- 繊維強化コンポジットにおいて用いられる継ぎ目のない軸対称プリフォームであって、
中心軸を有する継ぎ目のない管状織り構造を無端管状織りにより形成するために、一以上の横編み糸と織り交ぜられる縦編み糸二以上の層を備え、
前記プリフォームは、その長さに沿って二以上の直径を有するように長さの異なる横編み糸を備え、当該プリフォームの縦編み糸の数が、実質的に一定の糸間隔で、前記横編み糸の長さに対応して増減するように当該プリフォームに沿って変動するプリフォーム。 - 前記縦編み糸の二以上の層は、輪方向に無端又は管状に織られた一以上の横編み糸と織り交ぜられている請求項1に記載のプリフォーム。
- より大きな直径を有するプリフォームの第1部分は、中心軸に沿って、より小さな直径を有するプリフォームの第2部分の上に折り畳まれる請求項1に記載のプリフォーム。
- 最も小さな直径を有するプリフォームの第3の部分が、プリフォームの第2部分の中に折り畳まれる請求項3に記載のプリフォーム。

- 前記管状織り構造の一方又は両方の表面上にファブリックの一以上の層を形成する又は取り付けることにより多層構造を形成する請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記ファブリックが、レイアップ、織られた、無端織り、不織、拠り合わされた(braided)又は編まれた(knitted)構造である請求項26に記載の方法。
- 繊維強化コンポジットを形成するための方法であって、請求項17のステップを含む方法。
- 少なくとも部分的にマトリックス材をプリフォームに含浸させるステップを更に備える請求項28に記載の方法。
- 前記マトリックス材は、エポキシ、ポリエステル、ビニルエステル、セラミック、カーボン及びその派生物からなる群から選択される樹脂である請求項29に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも部分的にマトリックス材を硬化させるステップを更に備える請求項29に記載の方法。
- 前記コンポジットが、窓枠、車輪リム、又はジェットエンジンの燃焼器の一部である請求項28に記載の方法。
- 中心軸を有する継ぎ目のない管状織り構造を無端管状織りにより形成するために、単一の横編み糸と織り交ぜられる複数の縦編み糸を備え、
前記管状織り構造が、その長さに沿って二以上の直径を有するように長さの異なる横編み糸を備え、当該管状織り構造の縦編み糸の数が、実質的に一定の糸間隔で、前記横編み糸の長さに対応して増減するように当該管状織り構造に沿って変動する繊維強化コンポジット。
