水晶体及び後房部の収差=眼球全体の収差−角膜及び前房部の収差・・・・・(1)
また、眼球において、水晶体を取り除き、その代わりに眼内レンズを挿入した場合には、眼球全体の収差と、角膜及び前房部の収差と、眼内レンズの収差との間には、同様に以下のような関係が成立する。
眼内レンズの収差=眼球全体の収差−角膜及び前房部の収差・・・(2)
眼内レンズの設計に際しては、この数式(2)に基づいて、眼内レンズの収差の目標値を決め、決められた収差になるように眼内レンズの形状を決める(なお、上記式における収差とは、ゼルニケ多項式で表現された波面収差である。)。しかしながら従来は、(2)式の各々の項の収差について、各要素に平行光を入射した場合の数値が用いられていた。一方、実際の使用環境においては眼内レンズには、角膜と前房部による収束光が入射する。従って、従来の方法で設計した眼内レンズを眼球内に挿入した後に、患者の眼球全体における収差を測定すると、収差の値が設定値からずれてしまっている場合があった。
前記眼内レンズの収差は、該眼内レンズに所定の収束光を入射させた場合における該眼内レンズの収差とすることを特徴とする眼内レンズの設計方法である。
該眼内レンズ群の各々の眼内レンズに対して、前記眼内レンズの収差が前記目標値と一致するように前記各々の眼内レンズの形状を決定するようにしてもよい。

AbL=AbE−AbC・・・・・・(3)
ここでAbEは、眼内レンズ1を挿入した後の眼球8全体の収差値を意味する。眼内レンズ1の設計者は、この眼球8全体の収差AbEを患者に合わせて最初に設定し、(3)式に基づいて眼内レンズ1の収差の目標値を決定する。

Claims (5)
- 眼球全体の収差の設定値から角膜及び前房部の収差を除いて眼内レンズの収差の目標値を導出し、
前記角膜の焦点位置に基づいて定めた点に収束する収束光を前記眼内レンズに入射させた場合における前記眼内レンズの収差が前記目標値と一致するように前記眼内レンズの形状を決定することを特徴とする眼内レンズの設計方法。 - 前記眼内レンズは、パワーの異なる複数の眼内レンズからなる眼内レンズ群を形成し、
該眼内レンズ群の各々の眼内レンズに対して、前記眼内レンズの収差が前記目標値と一致するように前記各々の眼内レンズの形状を決定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の眼内レンズの設計方法。 - 前記角膜及び前房部によって収束する収束光は、前記角膜の後端面から略30mmの点で集光することを特徴とすることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の眼内レンズの設計方法。
- 請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の眼内レンズの設計方法で設計された眼内レンズ。
- 請求項2に記載の眼内レンズの設計方法で、各々の眼内レンズが設計された眼内レンズ群。
