Description
Claims (8)
- 内燃機関のブローバイガス中のオイルを分離するオイルセパレータであって、
ブローバイガスの流路を形成し、下流側を向く環状肩面を画定するハウジングと、
前記流路内に配置され、その端面が前記環状肩面に当接して前記流路を閉塞する閉塞位置と該端面が前記環状肩面から離間して前記流路を開放する開放位置との間を往復可能な弁体と、
前記弁体を前記閉塞位置に向けて付勢するばね手段と、
前記ハウジング内に設けられて、前記ブローバイガスから分離されたオイルをクランク室に還流させる還流手段と
を備え、
前記弁体は、前記環状肩面の下流側において前記流路の壁面に所定の間隔をおいて対向する第1側面を備え、
前記ばね手段のばね定数は、前記流路内の差圧によって、前記弁体が該ばね手段の付勢力に抗して前記開放位置に移動するように設定されており、
前記開放位置における前記弁体の前記端面と前記環状肩面との間隙は前記弁体の前記第1側面と前記流路の前記壁面との前記間隔よりも狭いという関係が、前記ブローバイガスの流量に関わらず、常に成立することを特徴とするオイルセパレータ。 - 前記ばね手段の前記ばね定数は、前記関係が成立するように設定されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のオイルセパレータ。
- 前記環状肩面は、同軸の環状に形成された突条を備え、該突条の先端において前記弁体と当接することを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載のオイルセパレータ。
- 前記突条は、下流に向かうにつれて内径が増大するように形成された内周面を備えることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のオイルセパレータ。
- 前記弁体は、前記第1側面から下流側に延在して下流に向かうにつれ前記流路の前記壁面から離間するように形成された第2側面を有することを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項4のいずれか一項に記載のオイルセパレータ。
- 前記流路は、複数の並列に配置された分岐流路を備え、前記環状肩面および前記弁体は、前記分岐流路の各々に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項5のいずれか一項に記載のオイルセパレータ。
- 前記弁体の前記往復の方向は、鉛直方向であり、
前記還流手段は、前記弁体の下方に配置されることを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のオイルセパレータ。 - 前記ハウジングには、前記環状肩面の上流側において、前記流路の一部から形成されるプレセパレート部が形成されており、
前記プレセパレート部の前記流路は、流路断面積が狭窄化された狭窄部と、該狭窄部の下流側に配置されて該狭窄部の流路に対して屈曲した流路を有する屈曲部とを備えることを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載のオイルセパレータ。
