Claims (12)
- ジルコニウム含有原料を処理するための方法であって、
解離ジルコン(「DZ」)を含む原料をフッ素化させて、ジルコニウムフッ素化合物及びケイ素フッ素化合物を得るステップと、
前記ジルコニウムフッ素化合物を前記ケイ素フッ素化合物から分離するステップと、
前記ジルコニウムフッ素化合物を、非フッ素ハロゲン、アルカリ金属非フッ素ハロゲン化物又はアルカリ土類金属非フッ素ハロゲン化物と反応させ、それによってジルコニウム非フッ素ハロゲン化物を得るステップと、
前記ジルコニウム非フッ素ハロゲン化物を、プラズマ還元段階において還元剤の存在下で、前記ジルコニウム非フッ素ハロゲン化物を含む原料をプラズマ反応器の尾炎に導入することにより、プラズマ還元に供して、金属ジルコニウムを粉末形態で得るステップと、を含む、方法。 - 前記原料が、ZrO2.SiO2を主に含むプラズマ解離ジルコン(「PDZ」)である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記原料のフッ素化が、前記PDZを、式NH4F.xHF(式中、1<x≦5)を有する酸性フッ化アンモニウムと反応させるステップを含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記原料のフッ素化が、反応(1)
ZrO2.SiO2 + 8NH4F.HF → (NH4)3ZrF7 + (NH4)2SiF6 + 3NH4F + 4H2O ............... (1)
に従って前記PDZを重フッ化アンモニウム、NH4F.HFと反応させるステップを含み、
したがって、(NH4)3ZrF7、(NH4)2SiF6、3NH4F、及び4H2Oが、反応生成物混合物を構成している、請求項2に記載の方法。 - 前記ジルコニウムフッ素化合物((NH4)3ZrF7)の、前記ケイ素フッ素化合物((NH4)2SiF6)からの分離が、
前記反応生成物混合物を十分に高温に加熱して、(NH4)2SiF6、NH4F及びH2Oが気体状生成物成分として追い出され及び(NH4)3ZrF7が固体成分として残存するようにし、
前記固体成分をさらに加熱して、(NH4)3ZrF7が反応(2)
(NH4)3ZrF7 → ZrF4 + 3NH4F ......... (2)
に従って分解するようにし、
ZrF4をNH4Fから分離する、ことによって実施される、請求項4に記載の方法。 - 前記ジルコニウムフッ素化合物(ZrF4)が高温段階でアルカリ土類金属非フッ素ハロゲン化物と反応させられ、前記アルカリ土類金属非フッ素ハロゲン化物がMgCl2であり、前記反応が反応(4)
