1リットルのビーカー中で、水46.7グラム、アルキルEO/POコポリマー界面活性剤(タージトール(商標)XD、ダウ(登録商標)・ケミカル社製)1.5グラム、及びエトキシ化脂肪族アルコールリン酸エステルカリウム塩(エトックス(Ethox)ERS129、エトックス・ケミカルズ社製)1.5グラムの混合物を、全ての固形分が溶解するまで撹拌した。粉末状の2,4−Cl(44.0グラム)を加え、その後のスラリーをアトリッターミルに移し、1mmのステンレス鋼ボールを用いて、12ミクロン未満の粒径(D90、マルバーンの光散乱式粒径測定装置)が得られるまで磨砕した。混合物を20メッシュスクリーンで濾過してミル用ボールを取り除いた。濾過物に、殺生物剤(プロキセル(登録商標)GXL抗菌剤、アーチ(登録商標)・バイオサイド社製)0.15グラム、プロプレングリコール6.0グラム、及びキサンタンガム(ケルザン(商標)M、シーピー・ケルコ(登録商標)社製)0.15グラムの混合物を加え、均一になるまで撹拌した。
軽質芳香族溶剤ナフサ(ソルベッソ(商標)100フルード、エクソンモービル(登録商標)・ケミカル社製)45.45グラム、ナイアガラ1界面活性剤0.8グラム、ナイアガラ2界面活性剤4.91グラム(ナイアガラ界面活性剤はコグニス(登録商標)社製)、アルキルEO/POコポリマー界面活性剤(タージトール(商標)XD、ダウ(登録商標)・ケミカル社製)1.43グラム、及び2,5−Cl47.6グラムの混合物を均一な溶液が形成されるまで撹拌した。
実施例1及び2のEC製剤を蒸留水で希釈し、デブリーズ噴霧器を用いて、6.25、125、250、375、及び500グラムの1ヘクタール当たりの活性成分量(g ai/ha)の割合で、作物及び雑草の種子を植えた砂壌土が入った平箱に、発芽前に適用した。それぞれの割合で3回実験を行った。評価試験で用いた作物の種子は、イネ科単子葉植物であるコメ(テンプルトン種)、トウモロコシ(パイオニア33M53種)、モロコシ(ソルガム・バイカラー)、ライムギ(ロリウム・ムルティフロルム)、オオムギ(ロブスト種)、及びアブラナ科双子葉植物であるキャノーラ(セイヨウアブラナ)(ブラシカ・ナプス)であった。雑草の種子には、イネ科であるイヌビエ(エチノクロア・クルス−ガリ)、オヒシバ(エレウシン・インディカ)、メヒシバ(ディジタリア・ホリゾンタリス)、エノコログサ(セタリア・ヴィリディス)、及び広葉種であるセイヨウミミナグサ(セラスチウム・アーベンス、ハコベの仲間)、シロザ(ケノポディウム・アルバム)、イチビ(アブチロン・セオフラスティ)が含まれていた。それぞれの試験で、無処理対照平箱及び2種の市販のクロマゾン製剤(クロマゾン(登録商標)4EC除草剤(非カプセル化乳剤製剤)及びクロマゾン(登録商標)3ME除草剤(マイクロカプセル化製剤)、いずれもエフエムシーコーポレーション社製)を試験した。適用後、平箱は温室に置き定期的に水やりをした。評価は処理後14日目(DAT;days after treatment)に行った。それぞれの試験で、雑草の防除率及び作物の障害率(%防除率としても記載)を、それぞれの種について未処理対照群と比較して目視観測に基づいて、評価した。
処理済みの土壌からの活性成分の揮発によってハコベが受けた植物毒素障害の量を求めるため2,4−Cl及び2,5−Cl製剤を温室で試験した。ハコベは、クロマゾンへの感受性が極めて高いため、漂白化合物の揮発性の良い指標となる。それぞれの試験で、無処理対照平箱及び2種の市販のクロマゾン製剤(コマンド(登録商標)4EC除草剤(非カプセル化乳剤製剤)及びコマンド(登録商標)3ME除草剤(マイクロカプセル化製剤)、いずれもエフエムシーコーポレーション社製)を試験した。上記の製剤は、試験製剤と比較するための参照基準である。4インチのプラスチック製のポットに、ポットの底の排水孔を覆い、ポットの底からの土壌の流出を防ぐように、バスケット型のコーヒーフィルターを適当なサイズに切って取り付けた。各ポットに、#10メッシュシーブを用いて篩いに掛け大きな土壌粒子と石屑を取り除いた砂壌土を詰めた。土壌を詰めたポットに処理適用の前に軽く水をやった。試験溶液は、デブリースジェネレーションIII噴霧器を用いて、土壌表面に適用した。それぞれの試験溶液について、0.25g ai/haの割合で、2回試験を行った。
本願は、2011年4月29日に出願された米国特許仮出願第61/480,405の優先権を主張する。
Claims (18)
- トウモロコシ、コメ、モロコシ、セイヨウアブラナ、オオムギ、ライムギ、及びキャノーラからなる群より選択されるイネ科単子葉作物又はアブラナ科作物において不要な植生を選択的に防除するための方法であって、2−(2,4−ジクロロフェニル)メチル−4,4−ジメチル−3−イソオキサゾリジノン及び2−(2,5−ジクロロフェニル)メチル−4,4−ジメチル−3−イソオキサゾリジノンからなる群より選択される少なくとも1種の3−イソオキサゾリジノン系除草剤を除草剤として有効な量で前記植生のある場所に適用することを含む方法。
- 前記除草剤は前記不要な植生の発芽前に用いられる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記除草剤は2−(2,4−ジクロロフェニル)メチル−4,4−ジメチル−3−イソオキサゾリジノンである、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記除草剤は1ヘクタール当たり1から4000グラムの活性成分の割合で用いられる、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記除草剤は1ヘクタール当たり75から2000グラムの活性成分の割合で用いられる、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記除草剤は1ヘクタール当たり100から1500グラムの活性成分の割合で用いられる、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記作物はイネ科単子葉植物である、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記作物は、トウモロコシ、コメ、モロコシ、オオムギ、又はライムギである、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記作物はアブラナ科双子葉植物である、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記作物はキャノーラである、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記除草剤は2−(2,5−ジクロロフェニル)メチル−4,4−ジメチル−3−イソオキサゾリジノンである、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記除草剤は1ヘクタール当たり1から4000グラムの活性成分の割合で用いられる、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記除草剤は1ヘクタール当たり75から2000グラムの活性成分の割合で用いられる、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記除草剤は1ヘクタール当たり100から1500グラムの活性成分の割合で用いられる、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記作物はイネ科単子葉植物である、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記作物は、トウモロコシ、コメ、モロコシ、オオムギ、又はライムギである、請求項15に記載の方法。
