Description
本願は、2010年10月28日に出願された米国特許仮出願第61/407,772号の優先権主張出願である。本願は又、2010年11月4日に出願された米国特許出願第12/939,348号の優先権主張出願である。なお、これら出願を参照により引用し、これらの記載内容全体を本明細書の一部とする。
・最も高いコンパクトさ及び最も高い効率を達成するが、最も高い集中レベルを達成することがないTIR非パイプ方式
・最も高いコンパクトさ及び最も高い集中レベルを達成するが、最も高い効率を達成することがない反射器非パイプ方式
・最も高い集中レベル及び最も高い効率を達成するが、最も高いコンパクトさを達成することがないTIRパイプ方式
・セクション1から、変向光学部品310は、製造を単純化するために光導波路10と一体に作られる。
・セクション2から、光導波路10‐変向光学部品50は、中心軸線に関して鏡映関係にあり、集光面積が増大すると共に全体的装置のコンパクトさが高められている。
・セクション3から、光導波路10は、Cfinal>C1であるように二次集中を達成し、それによりレシーバ60が縮小され、それによりレシーバコストが減少する。
・セクション4から、変向光学部品310は、効率を最大限にするために、全反射を採用する。
・セクション6から、変向光学部品310は、二次集中を増大させるよう放物曲線を採用し、次に、TIR限度に達したときに平坦なファセットが変向光学部品に取り付けられた状態で放物曲線を切頭する。(放物曲線は、同等な結果を達成するよう幾つかの平坦なファセットにより近似されても良い。)
・セクション7から、変向光学部品310は、「TIR漏れ」を可能にし、即ち、幾分かの光線が臨界角から外れ、屈折して鏡映面に至り、ここで、これら光線は、それにもかかわらず、レシーバ60によって集められる。これにより、変向表面310は、急峻な角度を有することができ、それによりそれ以上の二次集中が可能になる。
・セクション8から、被覆材200が集中度、効率、構造的支持作用及び信頼性を高めるよう変向光学部品とレシーバとの間に用いられる。
・セクション9から、光導波路10は、傾斜導波路であり、即ち、導波路10は、入射光20に完全に垂直ではない。これにより、変向光学部品310は、達成可能な二次集中度を増大させる急峻な角度を有することができる。
・セクション12から、支持光学部品290,300,320は、変向光学部品310の上方の中央変向領域内で光導波路10内に構成される。これら支持光学部品は、中央領域に入射した光が変向光学部品310を通ってレシーバ60に送られるようにし、それにより効率及び集中度が最大になる。上述したように、変向光学部品50は、放物面、楕円面、双曲面、円弧、平坦な反射面、特注形状反射面、全反射面、合成二次曲面集光器型光学部品、ライトパイプ及び屈折コンポーネントの任意の組み合わせで構成できる。
Claims (30)
- 光学集中システムであって、
入射光を集めて集中させる光導波路を有し、前記光導波路は上面及び下面を備え、これにより、入射した光が少なくとも1回前記上面から反射した後、前記光導波路を出るように案内することを可能にし、さらに、
前記光導波路に隣接して配置され、固体光学要素を介することなく前記光導波路から直接前記集中光を受け取るレシーバと、
前記光導波路の一部と一体となった上面を備え、前記光導波路からの光を前記レシーバの方に変向する変向光学部品と、
前記光導波路の上方に離れて配置され、光を集めて再位置決めする集中要素と、
前記集中要素及び前記光導波路の中央部分と前記変向光学部品からなる中央変向領域と、上方に位置する前記中央変向領域内において前記集中要素から延び、前記変向光学部品に光学的に結合され、前記導波路から分離された少なくとも2つの中央変向領域歯と、を有する、光学集中システム。 - 前記変向光学部品は、前記光導波路により提供される集中レベルを変化させる、請求項1記載の光学集中システム。
- 前記変向光学部品は、放物面、楕円面、双曲面、円弧、平坦な反射面、特注形状反射面、全反射面、合成二次曲面集光器型光学部品、ライトパイプ及び屈折コンポーネントから成る群から選択される、請求項1記載の光学集中システム。
- 前記光導波路と前記変向光学部品は、少なくとも2つのシステムを形成するよう中心軸線に関し互いに鏡映関係をなし、前記少なくとも2つのシステムからの前記レシーバは、1つの連続したレシーバを形成するよう組み合わさっており、これにより前記光導波路の高さを維持しながら光の集中を2倍にする、請求項1記載の光学集中システム。
- 前記変向光学部品により、前記光導波路からの光のうちの何割かが屈折して鏡映変向光学部品の方へ進み、前記レシーバによる集光のために前記鏡映変向光学部品を通って伝搬する、請求項4記載の光学集中システム。
- 前記光導波路は、前記レシーバの上方の領域の入射光を前記変向光学部品の外側フェースの方へ差し向けて前記変向光学部品を通って前記レシーバの方へ伝搬させる光学素子を有する、請求項1記載の光学集中システム。
- 前記光集中システムは、回転軸線に関して軸対称である、請求項1記載の光学集中システム。
- 前記回転軸線は、前記変向光学部品のエッジから間隔を置いて位置し、それにより前記光導波路からの軸外し光が前記レシーバに移送されるようにする、請求項7記載の光学集中システム。
- 前記変向光学部品は、前記光導波路から物理的に分離した部分を含み、前記分離した部分は前記光導波路に隣接した空気の単一の垂直スリット、低屈折材料又は反射材料を有し、それにより、前記光導波路からの軸外し光が垂直スリットで反射されて前記レシーバに向けられるようになる、請求項7記載の光学集中システム。
- 前記変向光学部品と前記レシーバとの間に設けられた被覆材を更に有する、請求項1記載の光学集中システム。

- 光学システムであって、
光を集め、集中させると共に、光導波路と光学的に連通した集中要素を有し、
前記光導波路は中心軸線から軸方向に延び、
前記光導波路の下に位置決めされていて、前記中心軸線から延びる中央レシーバを有し、
前記光導波路は、前記中心軸線回りに且つ前記中央レシーバの上方に位置決めされた中央変向領域を有し、前記中央変向領域は、前記集中要素及び前記光導波路の中央部分と前記変向光学部品からなり、さらに、上方に位置する前記中央変向領域内において前記集中要素から延び、前記変向光学部品に光学的に結合され、前記導波路から分離された少なくとも2つの中央変向領域歯を有する、光学システム。 - さらに、スリットを有する、請求項13記載の光学システム。
- さらに、反射案内壁を有する、請求項13記載の光学システム。
- 前記中央変向領域は、複数の変向光学部品を更に有する、請求項13記載の光学システム。
- 前記複数の特徴部のうちの1つは、前記複数の変向光学部品の各々相互間に設けられている、請求項13記載の光学システム。
- 入射光を集めて集中させる光導波路と、前記集中光を受け取るレシーバと、を有する光学集中システムにおいて、

- 前記変向光学部品は、前記光導波路により提供される集中レベルを選択的に増加させ又は減少させる、請求項18記載の光学集中システム。
- 前記変向光学部品は、放物面、楕円面、双曲面、円弧、平坦な反射面、特注形状反射面、全反射面、合成二次曲面集光器型光学部品、ライトパイプ及び屈折コンポーネントから成る群から選択される、請求項18記載の光学集中システム。
- 前記光導波路と前記変向光学部品は、少なくとも2つのシステムを形成するよう中心軸線に関し互いに鏡映関係をなし、前記少なくとも2つのシステムからの前記レシーバは、1つの連続したレシーバを形成するよう組み合わさっている、請求項18記載の光学集中システム。
- 前記変向光学部品により、前記光導波路からの光のうちの何割かが屈折して鏡映変向光学部品の方へ進み、前記レシーバによる集光のために前記鏡映変向光学部品を通って伝搬する、請求項22記載の光学集中システム。
