Description
1)本発明に基づきチオール(−SH)基含有化合物が含有されたリチウムイオン二次電池の第1の実施形態は、電極合剤層の成分、具体的には電極活物質のコーティング成分として用いることである。
4)本発明に基づきチオール(−SH)基含有化合物が含有されたリチウムイオン二次電池の第4の実施形態は、通常の電池用電解液にチオール(−SH)基含有化合物を投入することである。
5)本発明に基づきチオール(−SH)基含有化合物が含有されたリチウムイオン二次電池の第5の実施形態は、電池用分離膜の一構成成分とするか、又は通常の電池用分離膜のコーティング成分として用いることである。
(実施例1)
正極活物質としてLiCoO290重量%;導電剤としてデンカブラック6重量%;及びバインダーとしてPVDF4重量%;をともにNMPに添加してスラリーを作った。これを正極集電体であるアルミニウム(Al)箔上にコーティングし、圧延及び乾燥して正極を製造した。
正極活物質として、LiCoO2 90重量%; 導電剤としてデンカブラック6重量%;及びバインダーとしてPVDF4重量%;をともにNMPに添加してスラリーを作った。これを正極集電体であるアルミニウム(Al)箔上にコーティングして圧延し、乾燥して正極を製造した。
電解液にメタンチオール(Methanthiol)を添加しないことを除いては、前記実施例1と同一の方法でリチウムイオン二次電池を製作した。
コーティングされた分離膜にメタンチオールを添加しないことを除いては、前記実施例2と同一の方法でリチウムイオン二次電池を製作した。
前記実施例2及び比較例2の方法でそれぞれ制作されたリチウムイオン二次電池1千セルに対して、2週間の間の電圧降下を測定して下記表2に示した。
分子内チオール(−SH)基を1つ以上含む化合物が、電池の単位セル内部に備えられることを特徴とするリチウムイオン二次電池。
[付記2]
上記分子内チオール(−SH)基を1つ以上含む化合物は、メタンチオール及びエタンチオールからなる群から選ばれた1又は2以上の脂肪族チオール;チオフェノール、4−フルオロチオフェノール、2−クロロチオフェノール、4−t−ブチルチオフェノール及び4−t−ブチル−1,2−ベンゼンチオールからなる群から選ばれた1又は2以上の芳香族チオール;2−(ブチルアミノ)エタンチオール;3−(メチルチオ)プロピルアミン;及び[2−(ジイソプロピルアミノ)エチル] −(2−メルカプトエチル)サルファイトからなる群から選ばれた単一物又は2種以上の混合物であることを特徴とする付記1に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
[付記3]
上記分子内チオール(−SH)基を1つ以上含む化合物は、電池を成す構成成分のうち少なくとも1つの成分に存在することを特徴とする付記1又は2に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
[付記4]
上記分子内チオール(−SH)基を1つ以上含む化合物は、電極、分離膜、及び電解液からなる群から選ばれた少なくとも1つの電池構成成分に含まれることを特徴とする付記3に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
[付記5]
上記電極は、電極合剤層成分、又は電極のコーティング成分として分子内チオール(−SH)基を1つ以上含む化合物を含むことを特徴とする付記4に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
[付記6]
上記分子内チオール(−SH)基を1つ以上含む化合物は、電極合剤層100重量部対比0.01から10重量部で含まれることを特徴とする付記5に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
[付記7]
上記分子内チオール(−SH)基を1つ以上含む化合物は、電池の作動中に発生する銅イオンと反応して、負極表面での銅の還元によるデンドライトの形成を防止することを特徴とする付記1から6の何れか1項に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
[付記8]
上記電解液は、リチウム塩、電解液溶媒、及び分子内チオール(−SH)基を1つ以上含む化合物を含み、上記分子内チオール基を1つ以上含む化合物は、電解液100重量部対比0.01から10重量部で含まれることを特徴とする付記4から6の何れか1項に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。

上記分離膜は、分子内チオール(−SH)基を1つ以上含む化合物を分離膜の構成成分又はコーティング成分として含むことを特徴とする付記4から6の何れか1項に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
[付記10]
付記1から9の何れか1項に係るリチウムイオン二次電池を単位電池として含むことを特徴とする電池モジュール。
[付記11]
付記1から9の何れか1項に係るリチウムイオン二次電池を単位電池として含むことを特徴とする電池パック。
Claims (5)
- 電解液を含むリチウムイオン二次電池であって、
前記電解液は、リチウム塩、電解液溶媒、及びメタンチオールを含み、
前記メタンチオールは、電解液100重量部対比1から10重量部で含まれ、
前記メタンチオールは、電池の作動中に発生する銅イオンと反応して、負極表面での銅の還元によるデンドライトの形成を防止することを特徴とする、
リチウムイオン二次電池。 - 分離膜を含むリチウムイオン二次電池であって、
前記分離膜は、多孔性ポリエチレン分離膜であり、
前記分離膜の表面に、Al2O3及びメタンチオールの混合物がコーティングされており、
前記メタンチオールは、電池の作動中に発生する銅イオンと反応して、負極表面での銅の還元によるデンドライトの形成を防止することを特徴とする
リチウムイオン二次電池。 - 銅、銅合金又はこれらの組み合わせを含む電極をさらに備える、
請求項1又は請求項2に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。 - 請求項1から請求項3までの何れか一項に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池を単位電池として含むことを特徴とする、
