Description
少なくとも1つの第1の流体成分を提供する工程;
少なくとも1つの第2の固体成分を提供し、それを加工して第1の成分が第2の成分に拡散できるようにする工程;および
第1の成分を第2の成分に拡散させる工程
を含む。
GUR 1020 UHMWPE粉末を120℃および10MPaの圧力のプレスで圧縮した。プレートから小ブロック(4cm×3cm×5cm)を切り出し、イソプロパノール75mlおよびフクシン(Merck)0.04gを含むグラスに入れた。図1に予め圧縮したブロックの室温における含浸挙動を時間の関数として示す。着色添加物を含む流体は数秒間で吸収され、1時間以内に物体は均一に着色される。
焼結したGUR 1020のブロック(4×3×5cm)を、イソプロパノール75mlおよびフクシン(Merck)0.04gを含むグラスに入れた。図2にブロックの室温における含浸挙動を時間の関数として示す(左:浸漬の数秒後、中:浸漬の30分後、右:浸漬の1時間後)。
GUR 1020ブロックを溶融温度未満、120℃で、実験室スケールのプレスで15分間、10MPaで圧縮した。その後、圧縮したブロックを室温まで急速に冷却した。
圧縮は実施例2に記載したように行った。圧縮後、試料をヘキサン-ビタミンE溶液(2.8%w/w)に浸漬し、含浸の間に重量を測定した。圧縮したブロック2個を溶液中に静置し(ブロックの下部のみを浸漬、図1も参照のこと)、ブロック1個を含浸溶液で完全に覆った(液中)。

ε:UHMWPE中のα-トコフェロール-OHのモル吸光度(kg・cm-1・mol-1)
実験的決定値=133kg・cm-1・mol-1
b=路長(膜厚)、cm=正規化スペクトルについて0.01cm
C=UHMWPE中のα-トコフェロールの濃度、mol・kg-1
に従って計算した。
抗酸化剤を含む、γ線照射したブロックの耐酸化性を決定した。実施例3に記載した方法に従って加工したブロック(焼結前にビタミンEで含浸)を通常の空気雰囲気中で、線量14Mrad(±10%)で照射した。照射後の熱処理は実施しなかった。
Claims (20)
- 少なくとも2つの成分の組成物を得るための方法であって、
少なくとも1つの第1の流体成分を提供する工程;
少なくとも1つの第2の固体成分を提供し、それを溶融温度未満の温度で加工して第1の成分が第2の成分に拡散できるようにする工程;および
第1の成分を第2の成分に拡散させる工程
を含み、
かくして得られた組成物を焼結する工程を更に含み、
第2の成分が少なくとも100,000の分子量を有するポリエチレンの粉末であり、該粉末が圧縮され、それにより粒子間に毛細管が形成され、第2の成分と接触する第1の成分に毛細管力を生成または増加させるようにする方法であって、
前記ポリマーを架橋させる工程をさらに含み、
この架橋が組成物を焼結した後に実施される、方法。 - 第1の成分が少なくとも1種の液体を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 第1の成分が少なくとも1種の気体を含む、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 第1の成分が流体中に溶解した少なくとも1種の固体を含む、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 組成物を処理し、それにより液体または気体を除去して固体組成物を製造する工程をさらに含む、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 架橋が照射によって実施される、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 架橋が化学種によって実施される、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 第1の成分がポリマーを架橋させるための化学種を含む、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 第1の成分が抗酸化剤を含む、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 第1の成分がビタミンEを含む、請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 第1の成分が抗生物質を含む、請求項1から10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 第1の成分が発泡剤を含む、請求項1から11のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 第1の成分が反応性モノマーを含む、請求項1から12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 第1の成分がモノマーの重合を開始させる開始剤である、請求項1から13のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 第1の成分が染料を含む、請求項1から14のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 第1の成分が清澄化剤または核生成剤を含む、請求項1から15のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 第1の成分が少なくとも2つの段階で第2の成分に拡散する、請求項1から16のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 組成物が滅菌される、請求項1から17のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 組成物が人工物に形成される、請求項1から18のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 人工物が医用デバイスである、請求項19に記載の方法。
