Description
減圧攪拌装置内(−60kPa減圧)において、液状シリコーンゴム材100重量部に、フィラー5重量部、界面活性作用のあるシリコーンオイル5重量部を加え、−60kPa減圧下で混合して攪拌して混合物を得た。次に、この混合物に水140重量部を除々に添加しながら攪拌し、油中水型エマルジョン組成物を調製した。
直径20mmの金属製芯体の表面に、メチルビニルシリコーン系の液状シリコーンゴムを0.005mmの厚さになるように配置し、形状を保てる程度まで硬化させた後に、これを金型の中心にセットし、上述したエマルジョンを流し込み、設定温度130℃で40分間加熱(一次加熱)し、成形した。得られた成形体(多孔質体前駆体)を電気炉中、200℃で6時間加熱(二次加熱)し、水を除去した。その後研磨して、外径φ40mm、硬度(Asker C)20°のロールを得た。
直径20mmの金属製芯体の表面に設けたゴム層の厚さを0.5mmとした以外は実施例1と同様にして実施例2のロールを得た。
直径20mmの金属製芯体の表面に、シランカップリング剤を0.005mmの厚さで設けた以外は実施例1と同様にして比較例1のロールを得た。
直径20mmの金属製芯体の表面に、シランカップリング剤を0.05mmの厚さで設けた以外は実施例1と同様にして比較例2のロールを得た。
実施例1、2及び比較例1、2のロールを、外径が40mmでハロゲンランプを内蔵する定着ロールに対し、圧縮率が50%となるように押し付けた加圧ロールとして用い(図5参照)、定着ロールを温度180℃で加熱した状態で回転駆動し、加圧ロールが破壊するまでの時間を計測した。

Claims (1)
- 芯体と、この芯体の周囲に厚さ0.005mm〜1.0mmの架橋密度が60%〜80
%の液状シリコーンゴム層を形成する工程と、このシリコーンゴム層の周囲に、硬化して
エラストマーを生成する液状シリコーンゴム材を連続相とするエマルジョン組成物からエ
ラストマー多孔質体からなる弾性層を設ける工程とを具備することを特徴とする定着加圧
ロールの製造方法。
