Description
Claims (7)
- 光学的要素を製造する方法であって、
選択された長さの毛細管を加工ステーションに配置し、
光ファイバを少なくとも前記毛細管の末端の内側と当該光ファイバの端面との間で空間が形成されるように当該毛細管の開口部に挿入し、
前記末端を崩壊させると共に当該崩壊した末端の溶融物から前記光学的要素の塊を形成するために前記毛細管の当該末端を加熱し、
前記光学的要素の塊を前記光ファイバの前記端面に融着し、
前記光学的要素の塊を選択された最終形状の光学的要素となるように加工する、
方法。 - 前記加熱の後に、前記崩壊した末端が前記融着を促進するために前記光ファイバの端部と接触する関係に移動される請求項1の方法。
- 前記加熱は、更に、レーザエネルギーを前記光ファイバに適用することなく前記毛細管の前記末端に適用する請求項1の方法。
- 前記方法は、前記毛細管に対してファイバをセンタリングする目的のために位置合わせ装置又は外部固定具を用いることなく実行される請求項1の方法。
- 前記毛細管の内側部分は、前記毛細管の残りの部分よりも優先的に加熱によって軟化する材料層を備える請求項1の方法。
- 前記毛細管の少なくとも一部はドープされ、当該毛細管のドープされた部分が光学的導波管として作用する請求項1の方法。
- 前記毛細管は、当該毛細管を前記光ファイバに対して位置決めするために共同して作用する前記光ファイバの補足的な部分と協働するよう設定された部分を備える請求項1の方法。
