Description
本願は米国仮出願第61/388,174号(2010年9月30日出願)の出願日の利益を主張し、その内容の全体を参照により本明細書中に取り込む。
発明の分野
本発明は、改良された湿潤絶縁抵抗性のための改良されたコネクタ及び電子回路アセンブリに関し、より詳細には、ポリマーフレーム内に少なくとも部分的に入れられたアセンブリに関する。
太陽光発電の分野、特に、建築物取り付け発電(建築物一体型光起電力装置又は「BIPV」)の分野の現状技術水準を改良しようとする努力はここ数年にわたってかつてないほどに益々産業界の注目を浴びてきた。BIPV製品は環境負荷において有意な変化にさられている。放射冷却及び加熱による追加的な温度負荷(1日の及び季節的な環境変動を超える)を受ける直射日光下に好ましくは配置される。より過酷な環境では60℃〜80℃の1日の変化をデバイスが経験することが可能である。BIPVシステム設計は、システムの部品内及び部品間の良好な電気接触を確保することを含む、これらの環境条件の衝撃に取り組むことが必要である。
本明細書中に記載されるような幾つかの設計形態のBIPVシングル(屋根板)はコネクタと多層ラミネート構造との間の界面破損となるものと信じられる50回乾燥熱サイクル及び/又は3回湿潤熱サイクル条件に暴露された後に湿潤ハイポット試験に不合格となることが判った。適切なUL検定要件は200回乾燥熱サイクル及び10回湿潤熱サイクルである。検定の要件を満たし損なうことは潜在的な長期性能問題の指標となりうるものと考えられる。
本発明はポリマーフレーム中に少なくとも部分的に入れられた、改良されたコネクタ及び電子回路アセンブリに関する。本願で特に興味深いのは、例えば、PCT特許出願第PCT/US2009/042523号明細書中に記載されるような光起電力デバイス(PVデバイス)の一部である、改良されたコネクタ及び電子回路アセンブリである。本発明の目的の光起電力デバイス1000は、例えば、図1に示すように、(例えば、オーバーモールディングプロセスにより)ポリマーフレーム200中に少なくとも部分的に入れられた多層ラミネート構造から作られているものと一般に定義されうる。改良されたコネクタ及び電子回路アセンブリ130はPV層30に電気的に接続されている。多層ラミネート構造100の一部としてこれらの部品を組み立てることが便利でありうる。デバイス1000のそれぞれの部品を下記にさらに詳細に説明する。
例えば、図2に示すように、多層ラミネート構造100は複数の個々の層(例えば、第一の層、第二の層、第三の層又はそれ以上)を含むことができ、それらの層は少なくとも部分的に結合して多層ラミネート構造100を形成しているものと考えられる。組み立てられた多層ラミネート構造100において、任意の所与の層は隣接層だけでなく、それより多くの層と少なくとも部分的に相互作用し/界面形成することができるものと考えられる(例えば、第一の層は第三の層と少なくとも部分的に相互作用し/界面形成することができる)。
ポリマーフレーム200は部品/アセンブリの集合物であってよいが、それは、好ましくは、一般に、現在係属中の国際特許出願第PCT/US09/042496号明細書に開示されているように、ポリマー(又はポリマーブレンド)をモールド中に(多層ラミネート構造100又はその他の部品などのインサートを用い又は用いずに)射出成形することによって形成されるポリマー製品などであるものと考えられ、その文献を参照により本明細書に取り込む。ポリマーフレーム200はPVデバイス1000のための主な構造キャリアとして機能し、それに合うように構成されるべきである。例えば、それは本質的にプラスチックフレーム材料として機能することができる。
第一の実施形態によると、改良されたコネクタ及び電子回路アセンブリ130は本開示に記載される問題の1つ以上を克服するために使用されうるものと考えられる。機能的に、アセンブリ130はデバイス1000へ及びデバイス1000から電気が移動するための導管/ブリッジとして機能する。アセンブリ130は、例えば、図3に示すとおり、少なくとも4つの主要な部品:コネクタハウジング230、少なくとも1つの電気コネクタ330、少なくとも1つの電子回路部品430及び少なくとも1つのバリア要素530を含むことができるものと考えられる。各部品は以下のパラグラフでさらに記載されるであろう。
本発明の別の態様において、本願で議論した要件を満たそうとするときの別の潜在的な不良形態は少なくとも2つの光起電力デバイス1000をその間の少なくとも1つの電気コネクタ330とともに建築物構造上に設置することに関係しうるものと考えられる。光起電力デバイス1000の不適切な設置及び/又は特定の設計は潜在的な長期性能の問題の発生に影響を及ぼすことがあるものと信じられる。
Claims (9)
- ポリマーフレーム、及び、
コネクタ及び電子回路アセンブリを含む多層ラミネート構造、
を含む光起電力デバイスであって、
前記コネクタ及び電子回路アセンブリはポリマーフレーム中に少なくとも部分的に入れられており、
前記コネクタ及び電子回路アセンブリは、
コネクタハウジング、
前記ハウジングから突出している少なくとも1つの電気コネクタ、
を含むコネクタアセンブリ、
少なくとも1つのバスバー、及び、
前記少なくとも1つの電気コネクタ及び少なくとも1つのバスバーが接続されている接続ゾーンを含む電子回路部品、
を含み、
接続ゾーン、コネクタハウジング又はそれらの両方は少なくとも1つのエラストマーバリア要素を含む、光起電力デバイス。 - 前記少なくとも1つのエラストマーバリア要素はポリマーフレーム中に入れられたときに、5%〜30%の最小圧縮値を維持する、請求項1記載の光起電力デバイス。
- 前記少なくとも1つのエラストマーバリア要素はASTM D2240 00による硬度が20〜100ショアAジュロメータである、請求項1又は2記載の光起電力デバイス。
- 前記少なくとも1つのエラストマーバリア要素は前記コネクタハウジングの横断長さから突出している少なくとも1つのリブ構造を含む、請求項1、2又は3記載の光起電力デバイス。
- 前記少なくとも1つのリブ構造は高さが0.5mm〜2.5mmの範囲である、請求項4記載の光起電力デバイス。
- 前記少なくとも1つのエラストマーバリア要素は、−40℃〜85℃で、接続ゾーン、コネクタハウジング又はそれらの両方と、ポリマーフレームとの間の接着剤結合を維持している、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項記載の光起電力デバイス。
- 前記少なくとも1つのエラストマーバリア要素はポリイソブチレンテープを含む、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項記載の光起電力デバイス。
- 前記少なくとも1つのエラストマーバリア要素はシリコーン、ポリクロロプレン、ブタジエン/アクリロニトリルコポリマー、EPDMゴム、ポリウレタン及びポリイソブチレンからなる群より選ばれる、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項記載の光起電力デバイス。
- 前記バリア要素は、当該フレーム材料のヤング率の、当該バリア要素材料のヤング率に対する比が、23℃において少なくとも500:1に、−40℃において少なくとも50:1に、及び85℃において少なくとも10000:1になるようなヤング率を有する、請求項1〜8のいずれか1項記載の光起電力デバイス。
