Claims (7)
- 有機汚染物質を含有する排水から電気エネルギーを取り出す微生物燃料電池であって、
前記排水と接触する一主面側に前記排水の有機汚染物質を分解する嫌気性微生物膜が位置する一の電極と、
一主面が空気中に曝され、他主面が前記排水と接触する他の電極と、
これら一及び他の電極の間に介在され、前記一の電極側から前記他の電極側への陽イオンの移動を許容する隔膜と、
前記他の電極の一主面に所定の洗浄水を供給して前記他の電極の一主面上に形成される液膜中の水素イオン濃度を高める洗浄水供給部を備え、この洗浄水供給部により前記他の電極の一主面に供給された後の洗浄水を前記他の電極の一主面に対して繰り返し再供給する再供給部と
を具備したことを特徴とする微生物燃料電池。 - 洗浄水供給部は、他の電極の一主面の上側から洗浄水をかけ流す
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の微生物燃料電池。 - 再供給部は、洗浄水を回収して貯留する貯留タンクを備えた
ことを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の微生物燃料電池。 - 再供給部は、pH調整材を貯留する調整材貯留部を備えた
ことを特徴とする請求項1ないし3いずれか一記載の微生物燃料電池。 - 再供給部は、pH調整材を洗浄水に供給する調整材供給部を備えた
ことを特徴とする請求項1ないし4いずれか一記載の微生物燃料電池。 - 再供給部は、検知したpHに対応して調整材供給部の動作を制御するpH制御器を備えた
ことを特徴とする請求項5記載の微生物燃料電池。 - 洗浄水は、pH10以下の水溶液である
ことを特徴とする請求項1ないし6いずれか一記載の微生物燃料電池。
