Claims (4)
- 偶数個の気筒を有するエンジンのための補助ブレーキ装置であって、
各気筒のシリンダヘッドに、アクチュエータで開閉駆動される補助弁が設けられると共に、前記補助弁を介してシリンダに連通する補助吸排気管がそれぞれ接続され、
行程の位相が互いに360°異なる気筒の前記補助吸排気管同士がバイパス管で連結され、
前記補助ブレーキ装置の非作動時に、全気筒の前記補助弁が全行程にわたり閉じられ、前記補助ブレーキ装置の作動時に、全気筒の前記補助弁が全行程にわたり開かれることを特徴とする補助ブレーキ装置。 - 全気筒の前記補助弁が一斉に開閉されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の補助ブレーキ装置。
- 前記補助弁は、吸気弁、排気弁のいずれよりも受圧面積が小さいことを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の補助ブレーキ装置。
- 前記補助吸排気管は、互いに逆方向に向けた逆止弁を並列に備えることを特徴とする請求項1〜3いずれか記載の補助ブレーキ装置。
