Claims (5)
- 複数本の光導波路及び複数本の信号電極が形成された基板と、
外部からの信号を前記信号電極へ伝達する中継基板と、
前記基板及び前記中継基板を収容する筐体と、を備え、
前記中継基板上には、信号を前記信号電極へ伝達する第1の中継電極、及び第2の中継電極が設けられ、
前記中継基板は、前記第1の中継電極と前記第2の中継電極との間で分割され、
前記中継基板が設置される設置面と、前記中継基板の被設置面との間には、導電性接着剤が充填され、
前記中継基板が設置される前記設置面と、前記設置面上に設置される前記中継基板の被設置面との少なくとも一方には、凹凸部が形成されており、前記凹凸部を構成する溝部には前記導電性接着剤が充填され、
前記溝部は、前記第1の中継電極、及び前記第2の中継電極が延びる方向と同じ方向に延びる、光変調器。 - 分割された前記中継基板同士の間は、当該中継基板が設置される前記設置面側から延びる凸部で仕切られている、請求項1に記載の光変調器。
- 前記中継基板は、前記筐体上に設置されている、請求項1又は2に記載の光変調器。
- 前記中継基板は、中間材上に設置され、前記中間材は導電性材料であり、且つ、前記中間材の線膨張係数は、前記中継基板の線膨張係数より大きく、前記筐体の線膨張係数より小さい、請求項1又は2に記載の光変調器。
- 前記中継基板は、信号の位相差を無くすために、それぞれの前記信号電極及び前記中継電極の合計の長さを等しくするように前記中継電極の長さを調整したことを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか一項の光変調器。
