Description
本発明の目的は、Ptを用いずとも、CO、HCを酸化し、NOxを還元する排気ガスを浄化することが可能な触媒について、浄化開始温度が低くかつ浄化効率の高い触媒を提供することにある。また、触媒を排気ガスの熱だけで活性発現温度まで加熱するためには時間がかかり、その間浄化できないという問題、及び浄化効率が低下するという問題を解決することである。
また、本発明の他の目的は、たとえばアンモニア、H2S、ホルムアルデヒド等の有害物質、ベンゼン、トルエン、キシレン、ジクロロメタン等のVOC、環境負荷物質の酸化または還元による無害化、あるいは酸、アルコール等の化学薬品の製造に使用できる、酸化触媒及び還元触媒を提供することである。
(1)鉄及びセリウムを含有する組成物を酸化雰囲気下で加熱して酸化物とした後、純度が高い一酸化炭素のみと反応させて製造することを特徴とする、炭素、鉄、セリウムを含有する触媒の製造方法。
(2)炭素原子、鉄原子、及びセリウム原子の構成質量分率(酸素原子を計算に入れていない率)がそれぞれ、1〜70%、5〜65%、及び5〜90%であることを特徴とする前記(1)記載の触媒。
(3)耐熱性触媒担体上に、炭素原子、鉄原子、及びセリウム原子の構成質量分率(酸素原子を計算に入れていない率)がそれぞれ、1〜70%、5〜65%、及び5〜90%である触媒を担持させたことを特徴とする前記(1)及び(2)記載の触媒。
(4)耐熱性触媒担体が、金属表面にアルミニウム層を設けたクラッド材の、前記アルミニウム表面に多孔質アルマイト層を有することを特徴とする前記(1)〜(3)記載の触媒。
(5)耐熱性触媒担体が、通電加熱により、触媒が活性を示す温度に加熱されることを特徴とする前記(1)〜(4)記載の触媒。
(6)耐熱性担体上に鉄及びセリウムを含有する層を設けた後、空気中で加熱して酸化物とし、続いて、純度が高い一酸化炭素のみの雰囲気下で加熱することを特徴とする前記(1)〜(5)記載の触媒の製造方法。

C3H6転化率=(入口のC3H6モル流量一出口のC3H6モル流量)/(入口のC3H6モル流量)×100%
CO転化率=(入口のCOモル流量一出口のCOモル流量)/(入口のCOモル流量)×100%
H2転化率=(入口のH2モル流量一出口のH2モル流量)/(入口のH2モル流量)×100%
上記の調製方法で得たC-Fe-Ce酸化還元触媒(炭素原子、鉄原子、及びセリウム原子の構成質量分率がそれぞれ、C/Fe/Ce=7:5:4(6時間処理)5%、17%、及び78%である)を、反応管内に入れ、モデルガスを反応管に導入し、NOx、CO、炭化水素(C3H6)、H2の転化率を測定した。その結果を図4に示す。
実施例1のアルマイト触媒担体のFe-Ni−Cr合金部分にリード線を接続し、実施例1と同様にモデルガスを反応管18に導入すると同時に、リード線から、12V10Aの電流で本担体は約15秒で800度に達した。この場合、300秒後には実施例1と同様な転化率を得ることができた。
反応管内に、実施例1で使用したアルマイト触媒担体のみを入れ、触媒の存在しない状態で反応ガスを流し、NOx、CO、炭化水素(C3H6)、水素の転化率を測定した。その結果を図6に示す。
実施例1において、アルマイト触媒担体に鉄化合物を含浸した後、セリウム化合物を担持させない状態で実施例1と同様に酸化処理、及び一酸化炭素処理を行い、鉄原子と炭素原子の質量構成比率が3:1(Fe3C)の組成の触媒を得た。得られた触媒担体を反応管入れ、モデルガスを流し、実施例1と同様に測定した。その結果を図7に示す
実施例1において、アルマイト触媒担体に鉄化合物及びセリウム化合物を含浸した後、実施例1と同様に酸化処理を行っただけで、一酸化炭素処理を行わない触媒を作成した。鉄原子と炭素原子の質量構成比率は5:4であった。得られた触媒担体を反応管入れ、モデルガスを流し、実施例1と同様に測定した。その結果を図8に示す
実施例1で使用したアルマイト触媒担体に市販のPt−酸化セリウム触媒を担持させ、実施例1と同様にモデルガスの転化率を測定した。Ptの担持量は1.0wt%である。結果を図9に示した。

Claims (6)
- 鉄及びセリウムを含有する組成物を酸化雰囲気下で加熱して酸化物とした後、純度が高い一酸化炭素のみと反応させて製造することを特徴とする、炭素、鉄、セリウムを含有する触媒の製造方法。
- 炭素原子、鉄原子、及びセリウム原子の構成質量分率(酸素原子を計算に入れていない率)がそれぞれ、1〜70%、5〜65%、及び5〜90%であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の触媒の製造方法。
- 多孔質触媒担体上に、炭素原子、鉄原子、及びセリウム原子の構成質量分率(酸素原子を計算に入れていない率)がそれぞれ、1〜70%、5〜65%、及び5〜90%である触媒を担持させたことを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の触媒の製造方法。
- 多孔質触媒担体が、金属表面にアルミニウム層を設けたクラッド材の、前記アルミニウム表面に多孔質アルマイト層を有することを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項3何れか記載の触媒の製造方法。
- 多孔質触媒担体が、通電加熱により、触媒が活性を示す温度に加熱されることを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項4何れか記載の触媒の製造方法。
