Claims (18)
- 液体燃料タンクと、
エンジンと、
前記燃料タンクに流体的に接続される注入口と、第1の排出口であってエンジン燃料供給システムに流体的に接続される第1の排出口と、第2の排出口とを有するサイクロン式分離器と、
を具備し、
前記サイクロン式分離器が、前記第1の排出口から比較的より高密度の物質と、前記第2の排出口から比較的より低密度の物質とを吐出するように構成された燃料システム。 - 前記第2の排出口が前記燃料タンクに流体的に接続される請求項1に記載の燃料システム。
- 前記サイクロン式分離器の前記注入口が燃料経路に接続され、該燃料経路は、燃料が前記供給経路の中を流れる時に、燃料及び水若しくは氷の混合物を同伴するように構成される請求項1又は2に記載の燃料システム。
- 前記燃料経路が、燃料ポンプに接続されるか、又は、燃料を送達するための加圧システムの一部を形成する請求項3に記載の燃料システム。
- 前記エンジン燃料供給システムは、燃料が前記供給システムの中を流れる時に、前記燃料タンクから燃料を同伴するように構成される請求項1から4のいずれか1つに記載の燃料システム。
- 前記サイクロン式分離器が熱交換器を有する請求項1から5のいずれか1つに記載の燃料システム。
- 前記サイクロン式分離器の内表面が疎水性及び/又は疎氷性コーティングを有する請求項1から6のいずれか1つに記載の燃料システム。
- 多孔質壁が前記サイクロン式分離器内に配置される請求項1から6のいずれか1つに記載の燃料システム。
- 請求項1から8のいずれか1つに記載の燃料システムを有する航空機。
- 燃料タンクから水又は氷を除去する方法であって、
燃料タンクの中の液体燃料を提供することと、
サイクロン式分離器を使用して、前記タンクの中の前記液体燃料を、水を多く含む燃料及び精製燃料に分離することと、
前記水を多く含む燃料をエンジンへ吐出することと、を含む方法。 - 前記精製燃料を前記タンクに返送することをさらに含む請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記水を多く含む燃料が、前記エンジンに供給される前に、前記燃料タンクからの燃料と混合される請求項10又は11に記載の方法。
- 前記サイクロン式分離器が着氷を防止するために加熱される請求項10から12のいずれか1つに記載の方法。
- 航空機に実装される請求項10から13のいずれか1つに記載の方法。
- 前記航空機の飛行の巡航部分中に行われる請求項14に記載の方法。
- 燃料システムにサイクロン式分離器を設置する方法であって、
前記燃料システムが、液体燃料タンク及びエンジンを有し、
前記サイクロン式分離器が、注入口と第1の排出口と第2の排出口とを有し、
前記サイクロン式分離器が、前記第1の排出口から比較的より高密度の物質と、前記第2の排出口から比較的より低密度の物質とを吐出するように構成され、
当該方法が、前記注入口を前記燃料タンクに流体的に接続することと、前記第1の排出口をエンジン燃料供給システムに流体的に接続することとを含む方法。 - 前記第2の排出口を前記燃料タンクに流体的に接続することをさらに含む請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記燃料システムが航空機上にある請求項16又は17に記載の方法。
