Description
ターボチャージャーを備えたエンジンの排気マニホールド内に、
エンジンの排気ポートから排出された排ガスを集合する排気室と、
内部に脱硝触媒が配置された触媒管が複数配設され、前記排ガスを前記触媒管の内部で前記脱硝触媒と接触させて排ガス中のNOx を分解する触媒反応部を連続配置するとともに、
前記触媒反応部に至る前の排ガス中に、還元剤、還元剤前駆体の双方または何れか一方を含む水溶液を噴霧可能なノズルを前記排気室内に設け、
前記排気ポートから前記排気室に排出された排ガスが前記複数の触媒管の外周面を回り込むように、前記触媒反応部の一部を前記排気室と連通させたことを最も主要な特徴点としている。
ターボチャージャーを備えたエンジンの排気マニホールド内に、
エンジンの排気ポートから排出された排ガスを集合する排気室と、
内部に脱硝触媒が配置された触媒管が複数配設され、前記排ガスを前記触媒管の内部で前記脱硝触媒と接触させて排ガス中のNOx を分解する触媒反応部を連続配置するとともに、
前記触媒反応部に至る前の排ガス中に、還元剤、還元剤前駆体の双方または何れか一方を含む水溶液を噴霧可能なノズルを前記排気室内に設け、
前記排気ポートから前記排気室に排出された排ガスが前記複数の触媒管の外周面を回り込むように、前記触媒反応部の一部を前記排気室と連通させた構成とすることによって実現した。
前記触媒管から排出された排ガスをターボチャージャーのタービンの上流側に導く排気通路に加えて、前記触媒管をバイパスして前記排気室と前記タービンの上流側との間を接続するバイパス通路をさらに設けるとともに、前記排気通路と前記バイパス通路を個々に開閉するバルブを備えた構成とする方が、より好ましい。
給気マニホールドと前記触媒管の出口側との間を接続する空気導入通路を設けるとともに、前記空気導入通路を開閉するバルブを備えた構成とする方が、より好ましい。
例えばノズル6は、排気連絡管4bから排気室5内に排出された直後の高温の排ガスに対し尿素水を直ちに噴霧できるように、排気連絡管4bの開口部近傍の上流側の位置に設ける。また、排気室5内の排ガスに対し、ムラなく一様に尿素水を噴霧できるように、ノズル6は、排気連絡管4bの開口部毎に複数(図1の実施例の場合は計4箇所)設けるのである。
12は、触媒管7をバイパスして排気室5とタービン2aの上流側との間を接続するバイパス通路である。そして、排気通路9には第1のバルブ9aを、バイパス通路12には第2のバルブ12aを夫々設けている。

Claims (4)
- ターボチャージャーを備えたエンジンの排気マニホールド内に、
エンジンの排気ポートから排出された排ガスを集合する排気室と、
内部に脱硝触媒が配置された触媒管が複数配設され、前記排ガスを前記触媒管の内部で前記脱硝触媒と接触させて排ガス中のNOx を分解する触媒反応部を連続配置するとともに、
前記触媒反応部に至る前の排ガス中に、還元剤、還元剤前駆体の双方または何れか一方を含む水溶液を噴霧可能なノズルを前記排気室内に設け、
前記排気ポートから前記排気室に排出された排ガスが前記複数の触媒管の外周面を回り込むように、前記触媒反応部の一部を前記排気室と連通させたことを特徴とする排ガス浄化装置。 - ターボチャージャーを備えたエンジンの排気マニホールド内に、
エンジンの排気ポートに接続された排気連絡管から排出された排ガスを集合する排気室と、
内部に脱硝触媒が配置された触媒管が複数配設され、前記排ガスを前記触媒管の内部で前記脱硝触媒と接触させて排ガス中のNOx を分解する触媒反応部を連続配置するとともに、
前記触媒反応部に至る前の排ガス中に、還元剤、還元剤前駆体の双方または何れか一方を含む水溶液を噴霧可能なノズルを前記排気室内であって前記排気連絡管の開口部近傍の位置に設け、
前記排気ポートから前記排気室に排出された排ガスが前記複数の触媒管の外周面を回り込むように、前記触媒反応部の一部を前記排気室と連通させたことを特徴とする排ガス浄化装置。 - 前記触媒管から排出された排ガスをターボチャージャーのタービンの上流側に導く排気通路に加えて、前記触媒管をバイパスして前記排気室と前記タービンの上流側との間を接続するバイパス通路をさらに設けるとともに、前記排気通路と前記バイパス通路を個々に開閉するバルブを備えたことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の排ガス浄化装置。
- 給気マニホールドと前記触媒管の出口側との間を接続し、前記触媒管の出口側から入口側に空気を逆流させて前記触媒管内に滞留している排ガスを新気と置換する空気導入通路を設けるとともに、前記空気導入通路を開閉するバルブを備えたことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の排ガス浄化装置。
