Claims (1)
- 気筒内に点火プラグが設けられた内燃機関の前記気筒内に燃料を噴射する燃料噴射弁を備え、前記燃料噴射弁に供給される燃料の燃圧を変更可能な内燃機関の燃料噴射装置において、
前記燃料噴射弁には、前記気筒の中心線方向を上下方向とした場合の左右方向に広がるように配置された複数の噴孔が形成され、
前記複数の噴孔の各噴孔からの噴射方向を規定する複数の噴射軸線のうち、隣り合う2つの噴射軸線で形成される角度を挟み角とした場合、前記気筒の中央部の近くに位置する2つの噴射軸線で形成される前記挟み角が、前記挟み角の中で最小となるように、前記複数の噴孔が構成され、
前記燃料噴射弁は、前記複数の噴孔から噴射される複数の燃料噴霧の集まりを一つの燃料噴霧とみなした場合、前記一つの燃料噴霧の噴霧長の変化率が切り替わる特定燃圧値が燃圧の変更範囲内に存在するように構成されており、
燃圧が前記特定燃圧値以上の状態と、前記特定燃圧値よりも燃圧が低い状態とが前記内燃機関の運転状態に応じて切り替えられるように、前記燃料噴射弁に供給される燃料の燃圧を制御する燃圧制御手段を更に備える内燃機関の燃料噴射装置。
