Description

Claims (10)
- グレースケール画像が媒体から取得可能となるように前記媒体を改質する方法において、
表面を有する媒体を備えるステップと、
約100ピコ秒未満のパルス幅を有しおよび波長λを有する複数の偏光した光パルスを含み、前記媒体の前記表面に光エネルギーを供給するレーザビームを、前記表面に対して走査して、前記媒体の前記表面のマイクロテクスチャリングを引き起こすステップと、
前記媒体の前記表面の異なる領域に供給される前記光エネルギーを変化させて、前記表面の前記異なる領域が異なる表面粗さを有するようにするステップであって、それにより、前記領域の反射率、吸収率または回折特性のうち少なくとも1つを改変して、前記媒体から取得可能な前記グレースケール画像をもたらすステップと
を備え、
前記偏光した光パルスは、直線偏光、円偏光、楕円偏光または径偏光を含み、前記偏光された光パルスは、約0.5λから1.5λの範囲の間隔のフィーチャ(機構)を有するグレーティング様構造を形成することが可能であり、前記グレーティング様構造は、可視光で見たときに前記グレースケール画像の中に色効果を生じさせることができることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記レーザビームは、約100kHzよりも大きな繰返しレートを有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記光パルスは、約100nJから約100μJの範囲内のエネルギーを有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記媒体から取得可能な前記グレースケール画像として実質的に複製すべき画像に関連する情報を含む電子画像ファイルを受領するステップをさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記グレースケール画像は、少なくとも8グレーレベルを有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法により、グレースケール画像がそこから取得可能となるように改質され、前記グレースケール画像は、人、動物、自然構造物、人工構造物、または芸術的表現作品を表現したものを含むことを特徴とする媒体。
- グレースケール画像が媒体から取得可能となるように前記媒体を改質するシステムであって、
約100ピコ秒未満のパルス幅を有しおよび波長λを有する複数の偏光した複数の光パルスを含むレーザビームを出力することが可能なレーザソースと、
表面を有する媒体を保持する支持体と、
前記レーザビームを前記媒体の前記表面に対して相対的に走査して、前記媒体の前記表面のマイクロテクスチャリングを引き起こすように構成された走査システムと、
前記レーザビームによって前記媒体の前記表面の異なる領域に供給される光エネルギーを所望のグレースケールに基づいて変化させて、前記表面の前記異なる領域が異なる表面粗さを有するようにし、それにより、前記領域の反射率、吸収率、または回折率のうち少なくとも1つを改変して、前記媒体から取得可能な前記グレースケール画像をもたらすように構成されたコントローラと
を備え、
前記偏光した光パルスは、直線偏光、円偏光、楕円偏光または径偏光を含み、前記偏光された光パルスは、間隔が約0.5λから1.5λのフィーチャ(機構)を有するグレーティング様構造を形成することが可能であり、前記グレーティング様構造は、可視光で見たときに前記グレースケール画像の中に色効果を生じさせることができることを特徴とするシステム。 - 前記レーザソースは、ファイバレーザを備えることを特徴とする請求項7に記載のシステム。
- 前記レーザソースは、変調器をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項7に記載のシステム。
- 前記媒体から取得可能な前記グレースケール画像として複製すべき画像に対応するデータファイルを受領するように構成された入力部をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項7に記載のシステム。
