Description
この金属製部品としては、被測定ガス中の特定ガス成分を検出するために内燃機関の排気管等に取り付けられるガスセンサの主体金具や、被測定ガス中の温度を検出するために排気管等に取り付けられる温度センサの締付けナット等が挙げられる。
本発明は、こうした問題に鑑みなされたものであり、作業性に優れているとともに、優れた耐焼付性を発揮できる潤滑塗料組成物及びその潤滑塗料組成物により形成された固体の塗膜を有する内燃機関用取付部品を提供することを目的とする。
しかも、本発明の潤滑塗料組成物は、ネジ部材のネジ形成部位の表面に塗布され、乾燥又は加熱によって固体の塗膜となる組成物である。
よって、この潤滑塗料組成物を、ネジ部位のネジ形成部位の表面に塗布して、乾燥又は加熱することにより、ネジ形成部位の表面に容易に固体の塗膜を形成することができ、ネジ形成部位の焼き付きを防止することができる。
従って、この内燃機関用取付部品が、例えば500〜800℃の高温環境に晒されたとしても、内燃機関用取付部品のネジ部材と(ネジ部材が取り付けられる)内燃機関の排気管等との螺合部分における焼き付きを十分に防止することができる。
a)まず、本発明の潤滑塗料組成物の構成について説明する。
本発明の潤滑塗料組成物は、固体の塗膜(乾性塗膜:ドライフィルム)を形成する固体成分が有機溶剤に溶かされた液状の組成物であり、固体成分として、有機ケイ素ポリマーと固体潤滑剤とが含まれている。
例えば、芳香族系炭化水素やケトン系溶剤、エステル系溶剤などを使用することができる。具体的には、例えば、キシレン、トルエン、メチルエチルケトン(MEK)、メチルイソブチルケトン(MIBK)、酢酸n−ブチル、酢酸エチルなどを用いることができる。
b)次に、本発明の潤滑塗料組成物の製造方法の具体例について説明する。
c)次に、本発明の潤滑塗料組成物の使用方法の具体例について説明する。
次に、塗膜の密着性を向上するために、例えば下地処理を行う。この下地処理としては、リン酸塩処理、シュウ酸塩処理、窒化処理などの化成処理、ショットブラスト等の物理的処理、メッキ等による表面改質処理が挙げられる。
次に、本発明の潤滑塗料組成物を、例えばネジ部材等の塗布対象の部材に適用して固体の塗膜を形成する。例えば、スプレー塗布(エアスプレー等)、浸漬処理、刷毛塗り、タンブリング等により、塗布対象の部材の表面に潤滑塗料組成物を塗布する。
ここでは、本発明例(試料No.1〜18)の潤滑塗料組成物と(本発明の範囲外の)比較例を挙げて説明する。
なお、表1の外観の観察において、◎は、ネジ部材を10本評価し、塗膜に全てひび割れが無いことを示し、○は、ネジ部材を10本評価し、塗膜に80%以上ひび割れが無いことを示し、×は、ネジ部材を10本評価し、塗膜にひび割れ無しが80%未満であることを示す。
なお、表1の焼付性の評価において、◎は、ネジ部材を3本評価し、ネジ部の外周に全て損傷が無いこと(即ち全く焼き付きが無いこと)を示し、○は、ネジ部材を3本評価し、ネジ部の外周に1本だけ損傷があることを示し、×は、ネジ部材を3本評価し、全てに損傷があることを示す。
ここでは、自動車の内燃機関(エンジン)の排気管に取り付けられて、排気ガスの温度を測定する車載用の温度センサを例に挙げて説明する。
図1に示すように、本実施例の温度センサ1は、ハウジング3と、ハウジング3内に収納され、温度により変化する電気的特性を電気信号として出力可能な感温素子としてのサーミスタ5と、サーミスタ5からの電気信号をハウジング3外に取り出すための一対のリード線7等を備えている。
第1ハウジング9は、先端が閉じられた円筒状をなし、その先端側には温度により変化する電気的特性を電気信号として一対の電極15に出力するサーミスタ5が配置されている。一対の電極15は、一対の芯線17の一端17aに接続されている。両芯線17は、シース19により被覆(絶縁保持)され、シース19の基端側は第1ハウジング9から突出している。
図2に温度センサ1の取付構造を示すが、本実施例では、温度センサ1は、車両の排気管23の軸方向に対して垂直に取り付けられ、排気ガスの温度を広範囲にわたって検出するために用いられる。
そして、この温度センサ1の取付構造においては、ネジ部材25は、筒状部材21や第2ハウジング13に対して固定されておらず、回動可能であり、温度センサ1を排気管23に取り付ける場合には、ネジ部材25を用いて下記の様にして行う。
特に本実施例では、図2及び図3に示す様に、ネジ部材25の雄ネジ29aの外周面の全体を覆う様に、上述した潤滑塗料組成物の固体成分からなる例えば厚さ10μmの固体の塗膜(両図の灰色部分)41が形成されている。

Claims (4)
- 固体の塗膜形成用の潤滑塗料組成物であって、
前記塗膜を形成する固体成分として、ポリカルボシラン骨格が金属元素によって架橋結合された有機ケイ素ポリマーと、二硫化モリブデン、窒化ホウ素、グラファイト、雲母の少なくとも1種からなる固体潤滑剤とを含有するとともに、前記固体成分の溶剤として、有機溶剤を含有し、
且つ、 ネジ部材のネジ形成部位の表面に塗布され、乾燥又は加熱によって固体の塗膜となる組成物であることを特徴とする潤滑塗料組成物。 - 請求項1に記載の潤滑塗料組成物であって、
前記固体潤滑剤は、前記有機ケイ素ポリマー100重量部に対して、10〜400重量
部の範囲内で含有されていることを特徴とする潤滑塗料組成物。 - 内燃機関の排気管に装着される内燃機関用取付部品であって、
ネジ形成部位が形成されたネジ部材を有しており、前記ネジ形成部位の表面に、請求項1又は2に記載の潤滑塗料組成物の固体成分からなる塗膜を備えていることを特徴とする内燃機関用取付部品。 - 請求項3に記載の内燃機関用取付部品であって、
該内燃機関用取付部品は、温度によって電気特性が変化する感熱素子と、前記ネジ部材とを備える温度センサであることを特徴とする内燃機関用取付部品。
