Description
スチレンアクリレート共重合体を含む第1の成分、及び
直鎖ポリアクリレートのような、従来の分散剤を含む第2の成分、
を含んでなる。
参考試料: Na−ポリアクリレート0.55pphの顔料スラリー
試料2: Na−ポリアクリレート0.55pph+スチレンアクリレート共重合体1pphの顔料スラリー
試料3: Na−ポリアクリレート0.55pph+90/10スチレンアクリレート共重合体/Na−ポリアクリレート1pphの顔料スラリー
試料4: Na−ポリアクリレート0.55pph+Na−ポリアクリレート1pphの顔料スラリー
すなわち、試料2及び3は本発明に係るものであり、参考試料及び試料4では従来の分散剤の量を変えて用いている。
Claims (9)
- 高せん断粘度値が減少するように紙用コーティング組成物の製造に用いる水性顔料スラリーの高せん断特性を改良する方法であって、平均粒径が20〜150nmのスチレンアクリレート共重合体を含む分散剤を、固形分含量が10〜50%の水性重合体分散液の形態で、顔料粒子を含むスラリーの水性相に、又は顔料粒子を添加する水性相に、添加すること、及び該スチレンアクリレート共重合体がスチレンモノマーとアクリレートモノマーとをデンプンの存在下で共重合させることにより得たものであることを特徴とする方法。
- スラリー中の顔料100部当たり0.1〜3.5部の、スチレンアクリレート共重合体を含む分散剤を添加することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 従来の分散剤を水性相に添加することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 固形分含量が10〜50%の水性重合体分散液の形態の、平均粒径が20〜150nmのスチレンアクリレート共重合体であって、スチレンモノマーとアクリレートモノマーとをデンプンの存在下で共重合させることにより得たものを含む第1の成分、及び
従来の分散剤を含む第2の成分
を含むことを特徴とする紙用コーティング組成物の製造に用いる顔料スラリー用の分散剤。 - 該スチレンアクリレート共重合体が、スチレン、又はα−メチルスチレン、ビニルトルエン及びそれらの混合物から選ばれる置換スチレンと、C1〜C4−アルキルアクリレート、C1〜C4−アルキルメタクリレート又はこれらの混合物との共重合反応により得られたものであることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の分散剤。
- 第2の成分が直鎖ポリアクリレート、ポリメタクリレート、ポリアクリレート共重合体、又はメタクリル酸及びアクリル酸共重合体、又はこれらの混合物であることを特徴とする請求項4又は5に記載の分散剤。
- 第1の成分:第2の成分の比が50:50〜99:1の範囲内にあることを特徴とする請求項4乃至6のいずれか1項に記載の分散剤。
- 第1の成分:第2の成分の比が50:50〜90:10の範囲内にあることを特徴とする請求項7項に記載の分散剤。
- 高せん断粘度値が減少するように紙用コーティング組成物の製造に用いる顔料スラリーの高せん断特性を改良するための、顔料スラリーの分散剤としての、平均粒径が20〜150nmであって、スチレンモノマーとアクリレートモノマーとをデンプンの存在下で共重合させることにより得たスチレンアクリレート共重合体の使用であって、該スチレンアクリレート共重合体を固形分含量が10〜50%である水性重合体分散液の形態で使用することを特徴とする使用。
