Description
Claims (5)
- 光ケーブルとコネクタモジュールとからなるコネクタアセンブリの組立て方法であって、
前記光ケーブルは、
複数の光ファイバが一体化されてなる光ファイバテープ心線と、
光ファイバテープ心線に沿って配置された抗張力体と、
光ファイバテープ心線及び前記抗張力体を収容するチューブと、を備え、
当該光ケーブルの中心軸線に対して垂直な断面において、前記チューブの内面と前記光ファイバテープ心線との隙間に配置された前記抗張力体の占める面積が、該断面における前記隙間の内面積の5%以上33%以下であり、
前記コネクタモジュールは、
一端部に電気コネクタが搭載されると共に、電子部品及び光素子が搭載された回路基板と、
前記電気コネクタを固定するコネクタ固定部を前方に有し、前記回路基板を収容する筐体と、
前記光ケーブルを前記筐体に固定するための固定部材と、を備え、
該コネクタアセンブリの組立て方法は、
前記光ケーブルの末端に前記固定部材を固定する工程と、
前記電気コネクタを前記コネクタ固定部に固定して前記回路基板を前記筐体に固定する工程と、
前記固定部材と前記筐体とを固定する工程と、
前記固定部材と前記筐体とを固定した後に、前記光ファイバを前記固定部材に対して前後方向に動かしながら、前記光ファイバと前記光素子とを光学的に接続する工程とを含むことを特徴とするコネクタアセンブリの組立て方法。 - 前記コネクタモジュールは、
ガイドピンを有するレンズブロックからなり、且つ前記回路基板において前記光素子に対応する位置に搭載される光路変換部品と、
前記光ファイバの端部に設けられ、前記ガイドピンを挿入するガイド穴を有するコネクタと、を備え、
前記光ケーブルは、前記中心軸線に沿って前記光ファイバが前記ガイドピンの長さ以上に移動可能とされており、
前記光路変換部品と前記コネクタとを結合して、前記光ファイバと前記光素子とを光学的に接続することを特徴とする請求項1記載のコネクタアセンブリの組立て方法。 - 前記光ファイバには、可動範囲長さ内の所定の位置に目印が付されていることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載のコネクタアセンブリの組立て方法。
- 前記目印は、前記固定部材に対して前記ガイドピンの長さ以上に前記光ファイバが押し込まれる位置と、前記固定部材に対して前記光ファイバが所定の長さ引き出される位置との範囲内に付されていることを特徴とする請求項3記載のコネクタアセンブリの組立て方法。
- 前記目印が前記可動範囲長さ内の中間位置に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項3又は4記載のコネクタアセンブリの組立て方法。
