Claims (10)
- トナー組成物であって、
樹脂;
任意要素のワックス;および
任意要素の着色剤を含むトナー粒子と;
トナー粒子表面を少なくとも部分的にコーティングする表面添加剤とを含み、前記表面添加剤が、
第1のヘキサメチルジシラザン(HMDS)で表面処理されたシリカ、
第2のHMDSで表面処理されたシリカ、
表面処理されていないゾル−ゲルシリカ、および
ポリジメチルシロキサン(PDMS)で表面処理されたシリカの混合物を含み:
前記第1のHMDSで表面処理されたシリカが、前記第2のHMDSで表面処理されたシリカと異なる体積平均粒径を有し;
前記第1のHMDSで表面処理されたシリカが、トナー組成物の合計重量を基準として0.05〜2wt%の量で存在し;
前記第2のHMDSで表面処理されたシリカが、トナー組成物の合計重量を基準として0.05〜0.25wt%の量で存在する、トナー組成物。 - 前記第1のHMDSで表面処理されたシリカが、5〜50nmの体積平均粒径を有する、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記第2のHMDSで表面処理されたシリカが、5〜20nmの体積平均粒径を有する、請求項2に記載の組成物。
- 前記第1のHMDSで表面処理されたシリカと前記ゾル−ゲルシリカと前記PDMSで表面処理されたシリカとの重量比が、1.5:1:1〜2:1:1の範囲である、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記第1のHMDSで表面処理されたシリカと前記ゾル−ゲルシリカとの混合物が、トナー組成物中に、トナー組成物の合計重量を基準として1.9〜2.9wt%の量で存在する、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記第1のHMDSで表面処理されたシリカ、前記ゾル−ゲルシリカ、前記PDMSで表面処理されたシリカの前記混合物が、トナー組成物中に、トナー組成物の合計重量を基準として2.5〜3.7wt%の量で存在する、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記トナー粒子が、
第1の架橋していないポリマーを、架橋したポリマーと組み合わせて含む樹脂を含むコアと、
トナーの20〜40wt%の量で存在する第2の架橋していないポリマーを含むシェルと;
分枝鎖炭素を、直鎖炭素と組み合わせて有する改質パラフィンワックスと;
任意要素の着色剤とを含む、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。 - 前記架橋したポリマーが、トナーの6〜14wt%の量で存在する、請求項7に記載の組成物。
- トナー組成物を製造する方法であって、前記方法が、
樹脂を含有するエマルション;
場合により、ワックス;
場合により、着色剤;
場合により、界面活性剤;
場合により、凝固剤;および
1つ以上のさらなる任意要素の添加剤を一緒に混合することによってスラリーを作成することと;
前記スラリーを加熱し、スラリー中に凝集した粒子を形成させることと;
pHを調節することによって、前記粒子を凍結凝集させることと;
前記スラリー中の凝集した粒子を加熱し、粒子をトナー粒子へと融着させることと;
前記トナー粒子を洗浄し、乾燥させることと;
前記トナー粒子を、
第1のヘキサメチルジシラザン(HMDS)で表面処理されたシリカ、
第2のHMDSで表面処理されたシリカ、
表面処理されていないゾル−ゲルシリカ、および
ポリジメチルシロキサン(PDMS)で表面処理されたシリカの混合物を含む表面添加剤であって:
前記第1のHMDSで表面処理されたシリカが、前記第2のHMDSで表面処理されたシリカと異なる体積平均粒径を有し;
前記第1のHMDSで表面処理されたシリカが、トナー組成物の合計重量を基準として0.05〜2wt%の量で存在し;
前記第2のHMDSで表面処理されたシリカが、トナー組成物の合計重量を基準として0.05〜0.25wt%の量で存在する、表面添加剤でコーティングすることとを含む、方法。 - 前記第1のHMDSで表面処理されたシリカと前記ゾル−ゲルシリカと前記PDMSで表面処理されたシリカとの重量比が、1.5:1:1〜2:1:1の範囲である、請求項9に記載の方法。
