Description
−鉱物フィラーに固有に付随してよく(「固有の揮発性物質」)、特に、付随する水であり、および/または
−例えば、ポリマープラスチック媒体に鉱物フィラーがより分散性になるように鉱物フィラーの処理中に導入されてよく(「添加された揮発性物質」)、および/または
−固有の有機物および/または添加された有機物と鉱物フィラーとの反応によって作られてよく、このような反応は、特に、鉱物フィラーを含むポリマー材料の導入中および/または押出中または配合工程中などの処理中に達する温度によって誘発または促進されてもよく、および/または
−固有の有機物および/または添加された有機物の分解によって作られてよく、CO2、水、可能な場合、これらの有機物の低分子量フラクションを生成し、このような分解は、特に、鉱物フィラーを含むポリマー材料の導入中および/または押出中または配合方法中などの処理中に達する温度によって誘発または促進されてもよい。
−220℃を超える高い揮発性物質発生温度(volatile onset temperature)を有する、処理された鉱物フィラー生成物を調製すること。
−ポリマー媒体中で前記鉱物フィラーが分散性であることを必要とするプラスチック用途で十分に疎水性であり、好ましくは、前記鉱物フィラーが、炭素原子を少なくとも10個含むカルボン酸および/またはカルボン酸塩で同じ温度で処理されたときよりも疎水性が高くなるように、処理された鉱物フィラー生成物を調製すること;
−同じ温度で処理された炭素原子を少なくとも10個含むカルボン酸および/またはカルボン酸塩で処理された鉱物フィラーよりも吸湿しやすさが低くなるように、処理された鉱物フィラー生成物を調製すること;
−少なくとも1種類の鉱物フィラーが表面処理薬剤と接触して塩交換を受け、処理された鉱物フィラーの表面に対応するカルシウム塩を生成するか否かにかかわらず、上の内容を達成する方法のための表面処理薬剤を特定すること。
(a)少なくとも1種類の炭酸カルシウムを含有する鉱物フィラーを提供する工程;
(b)炭素原子を6から14個含む少なくとも1種類の脂肪族アルデヒドを提供する工程;
(c)少なくとも1種類の前記脂肪族アルデヒドの添加量が、処理された鉱物フィラー生成物の表面にある理論合計重量0.25mg/m2から5mg/m2に対応するように、工程(a)の少なくとも1種類の前記鉱物フィラーを、1つ以上の工程で、工程(b)の少なくとも1種類の前記脂肪族アルデヒドと接触させる工程;
(d)少なくとも1種類の前記脂肪族アルデヒドおよび/または少なくとも1種類の前記脂肪族アルデヒドの反応生成物を含む処理層を、少なくとも1種類の前記鉱物フィラーの表面に作製し、処理された鉱物フィラー生成物を得る工程。
本発明の方法の工程(a)によれば、少なくとも1種類の炭酸カルシウムを含有する鉱物フィラーが提供される。
本発明の方法の工程(b)によれば、炭素原子を6から14個含む少なくとも1種類の脂肪族アルデヒドが提供される。
(a)少なくとも1種類の炭酸カルシウムを含有する鉱物フィラーを提供する工程;
(b)炭素原子を6から14個含む少なくとも1種類の脂肪族アルデヒドを提供する工程;
(c)少なくとも1種類の前記脂肪族アルデヒドの添加される分子の数が、処理された鉱物フィラー生成物の表面にある分子の理論合計数1×1019/m2から3×1019/m2に対応するように、工程(a)の少なくとも1種類の前記鉱物フィラーを、1つ以上の工程で、工程(b)の少なくとも1種類の脂肪族アルデヒドと接触させる工程;
(d)少なくとも1種類の前記脂肪族アルデヒドおよび/または少なくとも1種類の前記脂肪族アルデヒドの反応生成物を含む処理層を、少なくとも1種類の前記鉱物フィラーの表面に作製し、処理された鉱物フィラー生成物を得る工程。
本発明の方法の工程(c)によれば、少なくとも1種類の前記脂肪族アルデヒドの添加量が、処理された鉱物フィラー生成物の表面にある理論合計重量0.25mg/m2から5mg/m2に対応するように、工程(a)の少なくとも1種類の炭酸カルシウムを含有する鉱物フィラーを、1つ以上の工程で、工程(b)の少なくとも1種類の脂肪族アルデヒドと接触させる。
本発明の方法の工程(d)によれば、少なくとも1種類の前記脂肪族アルデヒドおよび/または少なくとも1種類の前記脂肪族アルデヒドの反応生成物を含む処理層は、少なくとも1種類の前記炭酸カルシウムを含有する鉱物フィラーの表面に作られ、処理された鉱物フィラー生成物が得られる。
比較例1は、大理石を湿式粉砕し、処理温度約130℃でステアリン酸およびパルミチン酸の1:1混合物を用いてスプレー乾燥し、次いで、ポリジメチルシロキサンを用いて行う処理を指す。
実施例2は、ヘプタナールを用い、処理温度約80℃で、湿式粉砕し、スプレー乾燥した大理石の処理を指す。
実施例3は、オクタナールを用い、処理温度約80℃で、湿式粉砕し、スプレー乾燥した大理石の処理を指す。
実施例4は、ウンデカナールを用い、処理温度約80℃で、湿式粉砕し、スプレー乾燥した大理石の処理を指す。
実施例5は、ドデカナールを用い、処理温度約80℃で、湿式粉砕し、スプレー乾燥した大理石の処理を指す。
Claims (17)
- 揮発性物質発生温度が少なくとも220℃である、処理された鉱物フィラー生成物を調製する方法であって、
(a)少なくとも1種類の炭酸カルシウムを含有する鉱物フィラーを提供する工程と;
(b)炭素原子を6から14個含む少なくとも1種類の脂肪族アルデヒドを提供する工程と;
(c)少なくとも1種類の前記脂肪族アルデヒドの添加量が、処理された鉱物フィラー生成物の表面にある理論合計重量0.25mg/m2から5mg/m2に対応するように、工程(a)の少なくとも1種類の前記鉱物フィラーを、1つ以上の工程で、工程(b)の少なくとも1種類の脂肪族アルデヒドと接触させる工程と;
(d)少なくとも1種類の前記脂肪族アルデヒドおよび/または前記鉱物フィラーと少なくとも1種類の前記脂肪族アルデヒドとの反応生成物を含む処理層を、工程(a)の少なくとも1種類の前記炭酸カルシウムを含有する鉱物フィラーの表面に作製し、処理された鉱物フィラー生成物を得る工程と
を含む、前記方法。 - 工程(a)の少なくとも1種類の炭酸カルシウムを含有する鉱物フィラーは、アラゴナイト、バテライト、カルサイトの鉱物結晶形態のうち1つ以上から選択される沈降炭酸カルシウム(PCC)、および/または大理石、石灰岩または白亜のうち1つ以上から選択される天然粉砕炭酸カルシウム(GCC)、および/またはドロマイトであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 工程(b)の少なくとも1種類の脂肪族アルデヒドが、炭素原子を6から12個含む脂肪族アルデヒドから選択されることを特徴とする、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 工程(b)の少なくとも1種類の脂肪族アルデヒドが、飽和脂肪族アルデヒドであることを特徴とする、請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 工程(b)の少なくとも1種類の脂肪族アルデヒドは、等価な単離された粘度が23℃で500mPa・s未満であることを特徴とする、請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 工程(a)で提供される少なくとも1種類の鉱物フィラーは、中央粒径d50が0.3μmから10μmの範囲であり、および/または比表面積(BET)が、BET窒素法によって測定した場合、1m2/gから10m2/gであることを特徴とする、請求項1から5のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 工程(a)の少なくとも1種類の鉱物フィラーは、水分含有量が、工程(a)で与えられる少なくとも1種類の鉱物フィラーの乾燥重量を基準として、0.01重量%から1.0重量%であることを特徴とする、請求項1から6のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 工程(c)は、さらに、工程(a)の少なくとも1種類の前記鉱物フィラーと炭素原子を6から28個含む少なくとも1種類の飽和脂肪族カルボン酸および/または炭素原子を6から28個含む1種類以上の飽和脂肪族カルボン酸の少なくとも1種類のカチオン塩とを接触させることを含み、前記飽和脂肪族カルボン酸は、ステアリン酸、ベヘン酸、パルミチン酸、イソステアリン酸、モンタン酸、カプリン酸、ラウリン酸、ミリスチン酸およびこれらの混合物からなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項1から7のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 工程(c)は、さらに、工程(a)の少なくとも1種類の前記鉱物フィラーと、少なくとも1種類のポリシロキサンとを接触させることを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1から8のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 工程(d)で得られる、処理された鉱物フィラー生成物は、揮発性物質発生温度が230℃から300℃であることを特徴とする、請求項1から9のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 工程(d)で得られる、処理された鉱物フィラー生成物は、水分含有量が、工程(d)の少なくとも1種類の鉱物フィラーの乾燥重量を基準として、0.01重量%から0.15重量%であることを特徴とする、請求項1から10のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 工程(d)で得られる、処理された鉱物フィラー生成物の吸湿しやすさは、その全表面水分レベルが、温度23℃、相対湿度50%の雰囲気に48時間曝した後に、処理された乾燥鉱物フィラー生成物の1.0mg/g未満であることを特徴とする、請求項1から11のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 請求項1から12のいずれか一項に記載の方法によって得ることができる、処理された鉱物フィラー生成物。
- プラスチック材料とともに混合および/または押出および/または配合および/または吹込成型する方法における、請求項13に記載の処理された鉱物フィラー生成物の使用。
- プラスチック材料が、ポリエチレン(PE)、ポリプロピレン(PP)、ポリウレタン(PU)および/またはポリ塩化ビニル(PVC)から選択されるポリオレフィンまたは熱可塑性プラスチックを含むことを特徴とする、請求項14に記載の使用。
- 請求項13に記載の生成物を含む、膜材料。
- 材料が、延伸膜材料および/または配向膜材料を含む群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項16に記載の膜材料。
