Description
US 2008/0220257 Alは、内側から外側へ、接着層と、4面体構造を有する炭素層と、非晶質炭素層とを有する、金属基板上のコーティングに関する。
このスライド素子は、一方で、外側のCrN層およびDLC層の組合せを特徴とする。DLC層は、金属を含まないかまたは金属含有下部構造と金属を含まないDLC上部層とを備える。言い換えると、DLC層は、少なくとも部分的に金属を含まず、特に、外表面上に金属を含まないDLC層を備える。さらに、詳細な試験では、CrN層とDLC層との間の中間層としてMe(CxNy)層を設けた場合、開示されたコーティングは特に優れた特性を表すことが示された。この層構造での試験では、スライド素子、特にピストンリングの磨耗特性が、Cr接着層及びDLC上部層を備える周知の構造と比較して向上していることが示された。これにより、耐用年数が著しく向上する。試験ではまた、相対摩擦係数を著しく減少させることも示された。したがって、開示された層構造は、改良されたスライド素子を提供することができる。好ましくは、CrN層は、例えば金属蒸着またはスパッタリングによって、接着層を使用することなくピストン基材に適用されることが強調される。しかし、特殊な応用では、CrN層は、接着層によってスライド素子の基材に適用することも可能である。
1100〜1900HV0.002の値が、CrN層または下部構造の硬度に適当であることが見出された。この実施形態では、硬度1700〜2900HV0.002の金属を含まないDLC層および/または硬度800〜1600HV0.002の金属含有DLC層を組み合わせることができる。
図1に示すように、スライド素子の基材10上にCrN層12が適用される。図1に示されている接着層14は、必ずしも備える必要はない。特に、これは好ましくは省略される。Me(CxNy)中間層16を用いて、金属を含まないDLC層が外側となるように、DLC層18が外側に設けられる。

Claims (7)
- CrN層と、純Cr層を除くMe(CxNy)層と、DLC層とを内側から外側に有するコーティングを備えた鋳鉄または鋼鉄製のスライド素子であって、前記DLC層が、金属含有下部構造と金属を含まないDLC上部層とから構成され、CrN層の硬度が1100HV0.002〜1900HV0.002であり、前記金属を含まないDLC層の硬度が1700HV0.002〜2900HV0.002であり、かつ前記金属含有DLC層の硬度が800HV0.002〜1600HV0.002であり、Meがタングステン、クロム、チタンまたはケイ素であり、xおよびyの両方が0〜99原子%の範囲内であり、前記金属がタングステン、クロム、ケイ素、ゲルマニウムまたはチタンであるスライド素子。
- 前記金属含有DLC層および/または前記金属を含まないDLC層が水素を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のスライド素子。
- 前記金属含有DLC層が、ナノ結晶性金属カーバイド析出物を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1から2のいずれか一項に記載のスライド素子。
- 前記CrN層が1〜30μmの厚さを有し、かつ/または前記Me(CxNy)層が最大2μmの厚さを有し、かつ/または層全体が5〜40μmの厚さを有することを特徴とする、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載のスライド素子。
- 前記DLC層の外側が、粗度パラメータRz<5μmおよび/またはRpk<0.8μmを有することを特徴とする、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載のスライド素子。
- 前記CrN層が金属蒸着され、かつ/または前記金属含有DLC層および/または前記金属を含まないDLC層がPA−CVD法によって形成されたことを特徴とする、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載のスライド素子。
- 請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載のスライド素子と鉄系かみ合い作動素子。
