Description
Claims (14)
- 固定研磨材製品であって、
マトリックス材料と、
多結晶αアルミナコアと、前記多結晶αアルミナコアに重層し、且つ酸化ケイ素及び酸
化ジルコニウムからなる群から選択される多結晶材料を90vol%以上含むとともに気孔率5vol%以下の緻密なシェル層とを含むコア−シェル構造を有する、前記マトリックス材料に埋め込まれた研磨粒子であって、前記多結晶αアルミナコアが結晶粒を含む、研磨粒子と、を含み、前記固定研磨剤製品内の前記結晶粒は、平均粒径が500nm以下である、固定研磨材製品。 - 前記固定研磨材製品が塗布研磨材である、請求項1に記載の固定研磨材製品。
- 前記マトリックス材料が、基材材料に重層し、且つそれと接触する第1の接着剤層と、前記第1の接着剤層に重層する第2の接着剤層とを含む、請求項2に記載の固定研磨材製品。
- 前記第2の接着剤層が、ハロゲン化合物を含む充填材料をさらに含む、請求項3に記載の固定研磨材製品。
- 前記固定研磨材が、ガラス化セラミック材料を含むマトリックス材料を含む結合研磨材である、請求項1に記載の固定研磨材製品。
- 前記多結晶αアルミナコアの平均粒径が300nm以下である、請求項1、2、及び5のいずれか一項に記載の固定研磨材製品。
- 前記シェル層が本質的に多結晶材料からなり、且つ前記αアルミナコアを実質的に被包する、請求項1、2、5、及び6のいずれか一項に記載の固定研磨材製品。
- 前記シェル層の平均厚さが10μm以下である、請求項1、2、5、6、及び7のいずれか一項に記載の固定研磨材製品。
- 前記シェル層が酸化ジルコニウムを含む、請求項1、2、5、6、7、及び8のいずれか一項に記載の固定研磨材製品。
- 固定研磨材の形成方法であって、
αアルミナ微粒子をシェル形成材料と組み合わせるステップと、
前記αアルミナを前記シェル形成材料と共に焼成することにより、多結晶αアルミナコアと、前記多結晶αアルミナコアに重層し、且つ酸化ケイ素及び酸化ジルコニウムからなる群から選択される多結晶材料を90vol%以上含むとともに気孔率5vol%以下の緻密なシェル層とを含むコア−シェル構造を含む研磨粒子を形成するステップであって、前記多結晶αアルミナコアが結晶粒を含み、前記固定研磨剤内の前記結晶粒は、平均粒径が500nm以下である、ステップと、
前記研磨粒子をマトリックス材料に固着させて固定研磨材を形成するステップと、を含む、方法。 - 前記シェル形成材料が、液状媒体中に懸濁されたコロイドを含有するコロイド分散体を含み、前記液状媒体が有機化合物を含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記コロイドの平均一次粒径が200nm以下である、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 組み合わせるステップが、前記シェル形成材料を前記多結晶αアルミナコア上に堆積さ
せるステップを含む、請求項10に記載の方法。 - 前記シェル形成層を堆積させるステップが、前駆材料の分解を含む気相堆積法によって
行われる、請求項13に記載の方法。
