Claims (7)
- 第1表示セル及び第2表示セルを含み、第1映像と視認角度が異なる第2映像を同時に表示する表示パネルと、前記表示パネルに対応して配置されて光を遮断または透過させるバリアとを含む立体映像表示装置の駆動方法において;
映像が表示されない第1期間の間、前記第1表示セルに前記第1映像に対応する第1データ信号を記録し、前記第2表示セルに前記第2映像に対応する第2データ信号を記録する段階と;
第2期間の間、前記バリアが光を透過させるように前記バリアを第1形態に駆動して、前記第1映像及び前記第2映像を表示する段階と;
映像が表示されない第3期間の間、前記第1表示セルに前記第2データ信号を記録して、前記第2表示セルに前記第1データ信号を記録する段階と;
第4期間の間、前記バリアが光を透過させるように前記バリアを前記第1形態とは異なる第2形態に駆動して、前記第1映像及び前記第2映像を表示する段階と;
を含み、
前記第2期間は、前記第1期間の終了時点よりも前記バリアの駆動遅延時間だけ先に開始され、前記第3期間の開始時点よりも前記バリアの駆動遅延時間だけ先に終了され、
前記第1期間のうちで前記第2期間と重複しない期間、および前記第3期間のうちで前記第4期間と重複しない期間に、前記バリアが光を遮断するように駆動することにより映像が表示されないようにすることを特徴とする立体映像表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記第2期間は前記第1期間の2倍より長く、前記第4期間は前記第3期間の2倍より長いことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の立体映像表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記バリアの前記第1形態と前記第2形態は、光の遮断領域と光の透過領域が互いに反対であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の立体映像表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記表示パネルに光源を供給するバックライトをさらに含み、
前記表示パネルは、前記バックライトの光を利用して映像を表示する液晶素子を含み、
前記バックライトは、前記第2期間及び第4期間の間に導通されることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の立体映像表示装置の駆動方法。 - それぞれ印加されるデータ信号が記録されて、前記データ信号に対応する映像が表示される、第1表示セル及び第2表示セルを含む表示パネルと;
第1期間の間に、第1データ信号を前記第1表示セルに記録し、第2データ信号を前記第2表示セルに記録し、
第3期間の間に、前記第1データ信号を前記第2表示セルに記録し、前記第2データ信号を前期第1表示セルに記録する、表示パネル駆動部と;
前記表示パネルに対応して配置され、第1バリアセル及び第2バリアセルを含むバリアと;
前記第1期間に連続する第2期間の間、前記第1バリアセルが不透明セルになり、前記第2バリアセルが透明セルになり、
前記第3期間に連続する第4期間の間、前記第1バリアセルが透明セルになり、前記第2バリアセルが不透明セルになるように、前記バリアを駆動するバリア駆動部と;
を含み、
前記第2期間は、前記第1期間の終了時点よりも前記バリアの駆動遅延時間だけ先に開始され、前記第3期間の開始時点よりも前記バリアの駆動遅延時間だけ先に終了され、
前記第1期間のうちで前記第2期間と重複しない期間、および前記第3期間のうちで前記第4期間と重複しない期間に、前記第1バリアセルおよび前記第2バリアセルが光を遮断するように駆動することにより映像が表示されないようにすることを特徴とする立体映像表示装置。 - 前記第1期間及び前記第3期間は、それぞれ前記第2期間及び前記第4期間の半分より短いことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の立体映像表示装置。
- 第1表示セル及び第2表示セルを含み、第1映像と視認角度が異なる第2映像を同時に表示する表示パネルと、前記表示パネルと対応して配置され、光を遮断または透過させるバリアとを含む立体映像表示装置の駆動方法において;
第1データ記入期間の間に、前記第1表示セルに前記第1映像に対応する第1データ信号を記録し、前記第2表示セルに前記第2映像に対応する第2データ信号を記録し、前記バリアを光を遮断させる形態に駆動する段階と;
前記第1データ記入期間終了前の前記バリアの第1駆動遅延時間の間に、前記第1表示セルに前記第1映像に対応する前記第1データ信号を記録し、前記第2表示セルに前記第2映像に対応する前記第2データ信号を記録し、前記バリアを第1形態に駆動する段階と;
前記バリアの第1駆動遅延時間が終了した後、第1表示期間の間に、前記バリアを前記第1形態に駆動する段階と;
第2データ記入期間の間に、前記第1表示セルに前記第2データ信号を記録し、前記第2表示セルに前記第1データ信号を記録し、前記バリアを光を遮断させる形態に駆動する段階と;
前記第2データ記入期間終了前の前記バリアの第2駆動遅延時間の間に、前記第1表示セルに前記第2データ信号を記録し、前記第2表示セルに前記第1データ信号を記録し、前記バリアを前記第1形態とは異なる第2形態に駆動する段階と;
前記バリアの第2駆動遅延時間が終了した後、第2表示期間の間に、前記バリアを前記第1形態とは異なる前記第2形態に駆動する段階と;を含むことを特徴とする、立体映像表示装置の駆動方法。
